I couldn't really care if they went to the moon for a fortnight. My worry is that the longer they spend together the more confused they tend to become regarding forming a gameplan for any upcoming opposition

Are county players not supposed to be available for their clubs the whole month of April?
Joke. And the punishment this year was an extra away game in the league (in Newry, vs Clare!) Realistically if the GAA were serious about April being for clubs they’d be docking league points.

According to Jim mcrory in an interview earlier in the year, the county went to the clubs first last year to ask permission and the clubs agreed to the trip

Maybe the arrangement was, that their players had to bring home a load of duty free booze for their social clubs.

Sure 4th June is a Tuesday

Game v Down is 19th May. According to gaa.ie and then the following weekend there's another two instead of the old "week after week" setup. I think the first semifinal was then the following week and that is the 2nd so our quarter final couldn't be after our semi-final (yes we are getting to the semifinal)!!

GAA changed the rules earlier in the year after Armagh etc were punished and 15 others (including Dublin...) weren’t. Now as long as the county has sought permission from GAA in enough time training camps are permitted. Also no club fixtures this weekend.

My feelings exactly. When we come back from these camps, we seemed to be more confused and constrained than we did before we went on the camp. As we all know, last time we played Down, we came in as red hot favourites and totally flopped. I really hope this isn't the case again.
