So, I had mentioned about this on the ‘Last Man/Woman Standing’ thread. We seemed to get a lot of interest. Well, two people :D

Maybe more will participate in this as it will be GAA, and not that soccerball.

We aim to commence the first weekend in May, as that’s when the championship starts. It will run until the completion of the All Ireland finals.

The forecast competition might include a wide range of matches from men’s and ladies football, hurling, camogie, club and county.

If you buy Gaelic Life they run a similar weekly forecast competition. Check that out and you’ll get the idea. I hope @McCoyDromintee doesnt mind us stealing the idea. If he does mind, I should add this is all @Calm1 and @ragingbull ’s idea :D

Five predictions per week, 1 point per correct prediction. Winner is the person who gains the most points, obviously.

If you’re interested, do add your name below so we can get a rough idea of numbers.

So, stay tuned. More to follow.

Hi folks

Hoping to start the weekend of 4/5 May.

Some fixtures will involve Saturday games, so the CCCCCCCC insist that all forecasts are submitted before matches start, otherwise they won’t be counted. So bear that in mind.

Looking forward to this. Should be fun.

Stay tuned.

Doesn’t seem to be many fixtures for 4/5 May, so it looks like we’ll be starting with the first set of fixtures on 11/12 May.

Will keep you posted if that changes.

OK, so I’ve almost finalised the first 5 fixtures for 11/12 May.

There’s a wide range of fixtures in all codes, and the competition will be displayed with each fixture. You should be able to identify each - USFC - Ulster Senior Football, LSHC - Leinster Senior Hurling, RACK - Nicky Rackard Cup etc.

Just submit your prediction after each fixture, either by just stating which team you think will win, or emboldening or underlining a team. For example:

USFC - Antrim v Donegal - DONEGAL
MSHC - Clare v Cork - DRAW
RING - Meath v Carlow
RACK - Mayo v Down

Some competitions are a league format like the Munster HC so a draw is possible on the day. Others may have to go to extra time to get a winner. So bear that in mind.

If you have any problems identifying a competition, let me know.

The CCCCCCC must insist all predictions are submitted before matches start. Any predictions submitted when a match is already in progress will not be counted.

So, keep an eye out for the first fixtures coming soon.

I thought my football predictions were bad but this is going to be a whole new kind of woeful for me :D Let the hilarity at my expense begin.
