...the general word around Monaghan is that they're very happy with the draw against us. They don't rate us at all. Hopefully the players feel the same!

Class. Hopefully they think it's a stroll in the park. I'm maybe a bit more cautious because they'll remember how we played in the McKenna Cup and all they had missing was Conor McManus. We had almost everyone missing then too (just in case any of them are reading these), but they should hammer us by 12 points because they're so much better than Cavan (just in case any of them are reading these).

Just to clarify, Sky had loosely committed to a qualifier next weekend but it was with an asterisk that they could change. RTE had committed to the 3 provincial finals and were never due to show a qualifier. BBC NI have no rights for qualifiers

Sky Sports have opted out of showing a second round football qualifier in favour of a game later in the year. RTE showing three provincial football finals next weekend, so none of the qualifiers will be shown live

Watched a recording of the game last night as well as some of the lads that were highlighted as having bad/poor games, the game seemed to pass Young Kennedy by ? ?.
And if Cavan play as open as that against Donegal they'll be tanked..

Ciaran Brannigan of Down is the ref, strange choice after Armagh beating Down, not much thought put into this appointment.

He hasnt really done us that much harm but he was line against cavan first day and could have got morgan sent of an he didnt.

He sent Aidan Forker off on a straight red in the league match against Louth in Drogheda a few years back which was later rescinded. Mind you it didn't seem to affect us too much we played a blinder that day :)

Drogheda is proving a bogey ground for Forker. I remember him being carried off into an ambulance there in 2014.

Looked a nasty injury, but he was back for the championship, and played some really good stuff at half forward that year.
