Is it time to consider new management?

I'm pleased to see McGeeney get another two years. I think that there has been obvious signs of improvement in terms of the quality of squad we have, the style of play and the conditioning of the players. It's hard to judge what success looks like when you aren't one of the big teams, as only one team can win Ulster and the All Ireland. I think that challenging for promotion next season would be another step forward. With Cavan and Roscommon coming down, Fermanagh and Kildare still in the division and Laois and Westmeath coming up, it's going to be another tough battle for promotion. We showed that we can compete at this level last season and threw away wins against Clare and Kildare, which could have made a real difference.

McGeeney needs to work out how to get this team to be more ruthless and win the games we are cruising in. All too often we press the self destruct button in games, when we are well on top. If that means replacing certain coaching staff, then so be it. Depending on who we get in the Championship, getting a couple of wins under our belt in Ulster, maybe an Ulster final in the draw is favourable and getting to the Super 8's would be massive progress. I think this team has the potential to be a top 8 team, if they realise their full potential. McGeeney now has two more years to get us to that level.

You can put your positive spin on McGeeney if you like but he’s not gonna have us beating a Donegal or Tyrone in an Ulster Final in 2 years times which is where we should aim to be. I’ll happily eat my hat if he does.[/QUOTE]
Just in case, here's a suggestion:

The championship draw would have a lot of sway in what way things work out on that front. Though a home draw would be nice.
I know it should be easy enough to remember, but what was the last first round home draw we had in championship? I'm thinking v Cavan and the "McKeever gate flag discussion" non event!! No using Google! That's just cheating and I'm struggling not to be tempted.

Donegal home, Cavan away, Down away Fermanagh away, Down away. That's been the last 5 championship draws. 2015 was last home draw. Interestingly from next summer on, the teams who played in the preliminary round for the previous 2 seasons will not be eligible to be drawn in it again. So from 2022 only be 5 teams per year who can be drawn in it. Do want a home draw though.

Very open ended - to what end/purpose?
You mean those gps devices?

Physical measures in exercise performance and analysis on areas such as ground covered, scores/goals taken, scores/goals missed, tackles avoided, tackle success/fail rates, shooting positions, shots saved, time in possession, pass success rates, blocks, saves, frees etc etc. There is a lot to analyse but I would say it would be worth it. The disadvantage of it would be there's too many clubs to watch.
