Maybe a quirky suggestion, but IF the leagues get the green light, I guess depending on when that is, then they could "go" from whatever game was already in the pipeline for that week/end, continue as planned already and then just tag on to the end, the missed games from the start, in the order they were to be played without any breaks. Not sure if that's even a sensible suggestion, but I'm guessing like everyone else, I think football is low down on the list of priorities right now, but I still think about it, so it could be a good relief to get news it's gonna go. There'd be no need for a break and would run straight to the championship which could be run off week after week with no back door this year and it'd finish when it finishes.
Big sacrifices would be made so that the counties could complete as much as possible too which is theoretically possible like rugby do - internationals and provincials run at the same time. I know it's not apples with apples, but you get where I'm coming from.
In these difficult times we need a feel good factor and looking ahead positively could be a great start for our mental wellbeing - I've had almost two weeks in the house and have invented all sorts of contraptions to "stun" runts that want to burgle the elderly. I need out!!
