TG4 / BBC2 NI re-runs of old Armagh matches

Just been watching the Tyrone 2005 replay.

Jaysus, they were a shower of sneaky, cynical, hateful hoors. Only watched first half highlights, and spotted the following:

Jordan / McGuigan grabbing Armagh players hands and dragging them to the floor. Both got their free.

Cavanagh when challenged always fell like a tree. How does that even happen unless it’s been coached. It’s such an unnatural way to fall.

Lawn dragged his boot down Clarke’s calf, with him needing treatment.

Wee things you miss at the time. But frig me, talk about cynical!

Right, a cup of tea, then to the second half. No doubt I’ll be back with more...

Funny thing is @PatMustard I never noticed the hateful bastid (jeez I'm so sorry to the easily offended snowflakes that can bog off) McMenashite - what a hateful hoor. So bucking bad he had to drastically change his appearance, which was no mean feat for one ugly SOB to start with, I digress, never noticed his filth and trashy play at all the dirty, hateful, spiteful, useless sack of shit of a tramp bastid!

How did he stay on the pitch?

Drops the knees to J Mac, then elbows Andy Mac at the final whistle with the ref looking at it.

He was worse than I remember. My hatred of themmuns is bubbling back to the surface after a few years lying dormant.

Grrrrr!!!

Footblock on Oisin in second half also. That happened another time in Armagh Tyrone game from that era-can't remember which.
Big Sean was very quite in that game. The usual dramatic tumbles here and there, oddly enough always within scoring range for a free kick. Didn't see too much of his Christ the Redeemer pose that usually followed a 'foul'-maybe that was edited out of the highlights.

St Mickey, patron Saint of Monobrows-knew how play the victim card with the media. The howling wails of injustice from Tyronies afterwards would have done yer head in. Now they moan about how media gets on their case. As a Holy Roller Mickey, you understand that you reap what you sow.
Eamon Sweeney wrote a disgraceful article in Irish Independent afterwards.
Did Mark Sidebottom's tongue seem totally up Tyrone's bum from his commentary?

The only possible gripe Tyrone could have had from the game was the Canavan sending off. Maybe the ref or linesman saw him strike somebody but I couldn't see it from the footage. Tyrone ones always made out that they were robbed but they don't mention McMenavermin being a very lucky boy to get a yellow for kneeing John Mc in the throat. He was possibly their best player that day. Can't remember whether O'Neill was already on a yellow or not but his 'tackle' on Andy Mallon was typically dangerous and reckless - a bit too close to the jaw and late - and I remember the moment it happened the crowd reaction to it. We were sitting in line with in, on the hogan side. It looked at the time that he saw a chance to take Andy out of it. Concussion territory if he had connected.

Cracking game. Played at a blistering pace, from end to end with 2 teams leaving everything they had. It's aged well. So hard to believe it's 15 years ago though.

I have to say it was very [un-BBC like] well edited to show the crass vile tactics the loathsome tramp used! I'd have no issues with a ceasefire being broken just to have him taken out.........hmmm maybe a bit too far................No? Okay then. Set it up!!!!

Let's not forget that he basically ended John Toal's football career with a similar "late tackle" in the drawn match.

McGrane should have been sent off in fairness. And ONeill was yellow carded early.
Of that three match trilogy the one we deserved to win was the semi final. That hurts more than any other loss

I only realised this had happened when watching the match again yesterday, even though I have watched it numerous times before. I have to admit (& I know this will come as a huge shock to both @PatMustard & @Big Jim) I wasn't 1 bit sorry to see Paul leave a wee bit on Philip "s**mbag" Jordan ;) :D

What? You... huh? Well I never...

I don’t think any of us were sorry to see him get a clout actually :D
