Jeez I do that Pat, I do that alright.

I mind the time was in the public loos in belshaft with me wee mate. Must a been about 14 or 15. We were trying to see how high we could pee and you'd never believe it but big Ian (you know thon priest bloke from Billymeena) walked in. He hit the bloody roof. Never crossed streams since. Got well slimed that day!!

The shenanigans you get up to! o_O

When’s the autobiography out?

See the road map will be released at 5pm today? Anyone any thoughts on what will be said
Just posted this on another thread and it seems to suggest a return to club training by the end of June. Last night's news discussion seems to think that club championship returns soon, maybe July, with AI U20 finishing around then, followed by conclusion of league campaign and then a condensed AI provincial straight knock out coming in October.

Will matches be behind closed doors? Come October things may have changed dramatically but with all concerts being rescheduled I can't see crowds being allowed

Not sure and I agree about how much things could change by then, but the piece looks like it's suggesting "limited numbers". Now what that means is anyones guess. Hopefully be a lot clearer in a few hours, or at least it'll give us an idea. Emailed a few contacts to see if the announcement was being streamed, broadcast or just a statement to the press. Keep an eye on RTE and the GAA websites and of course the auld twiddler feed!!

You mean you won’t be ‘streaming the stream’?

So we are not a 32 county organisation after all
The GAA has decided to ignore its own statements and has stated that the 26 counties can resume contact training from 29th and the 6 counties will be able to whenever the executive there decide so.

We are either all contact training or we are training with no contact

Hands are tied @JoeH . The GAA obviously are taking advise from Health people in Dublin. To quote big Sean, “Up here in the UK” we are not along the same point of the road.

It would be careless of HQ to over-ride the advice coming out of the North, which is effectively, another (for the want of a better word), ‘jurisdiction’.

In general I agree @PatMustard but what @JoeH suggests makes sense in a roundabout kinda way. When the GAA announced the closure it was for "ALL" activity and didn't distinguish "jurisdictions". I've noticed a few clubs today post on social that adult training starts week beginning 29th June and underage a week later. That seems in line with other "national" announcements.

Yeah I get what you’re saying. When activity stopped, we all knew things were going to get alot worse.

North and south should have worked together and acted at the same time, and I think the vast majority of us recognised that at the time. So, the GAA calling an All Ireland ceasing of activities, was like them telling both governments: THIS IS WHAT YOU TWO SHOWERS SHOULD BE DOING!

But because the North is a week or so behind, maybe it’s more tricky advising opening things up than it was closing them down. Hence excluding the 6 counties this time.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up, unless it doesn't then it doesn't so it doesn't!
