Any word on how the semi- finals are to line out?
Q1 as shown on the telly box will be Q4 as Down will have a break before playing Derry, so I'd have a punt on winner of us (and Antrim) v winner of Monaghan and Fermanagh and then winner of Tyrone and Cavan v winner of Down and Derry.

Ideal draw - beat Antrim and Monaghan to get to an Ulster final?
Anything less would be failure.
And we get to see Monaghan when we play them in the mini league.

Not to heap pressure on the team but if we dont get final with that draw then we shold look for other managers

I don’t think it is a given but just would be one more time that we havent livid up To standard or done better

as said above
Can’t get much better

After me saying about not playing antrim in the main draw in the best part of 40 years, we go and get them. Its a novelty factor of a game. Finally a different team in town. We really should be in an ulster final. We can beat Antrim, and one of fermanagh or monaghan

Antrim is a novelty draw alright. Other than the 2003 qualifier, I can’t recall us playing them in the championship (although I’m only a youngster to be fair).

But let’s focus on Antrim first. We shouldn’t be taking our eye off the ba... oh look, a pigeon!!... off the er, ball here.

Handiest draw possible- avoiding the 3 best teams until the final, anything less than an Ulster final is a poor year now.

Are we forgetting that Monaghan are a seasoned Division one team whilst we have arrived into division one as runners up from division two?
We first of all have to beat Antrim who are under new management and will not fear us.
Fermanagh will give an account of themselves if they have a solid league
It's an opportunity but let's see how these league games go first as I suspect there will be some unusual results given the official collective time teams have to prepare.

We beat Monaghan comfortably 2 years back and they have been poor in the championship for a while.

Nothing ever a certainty in football obviously but if Antrim beat us theres something seriously wrong. Would you be happy with not getting to an Ulster final given that draw?

Antrim have a few decent footballers and will be well organised. They have a few young players coming through as well. In theory the game plays out tight enough in the first half with us pulling away to win by a 7 to 10 points margin in the second half. Anything else would be an indicator that we have got things badly wrong. Monaghan seem to be is total disarray going on previous championship performances and rumblings of discontent surfacing. I wont be surprised if Fermanagh beat them. In fact I will put my neck on the line and say if we beat Antrim as expected, we will be playing fermanagh. Back to basics though, the league is due to start on 15th May, any sighting of extact dates times and locations for the games, im hopeful that similiar to the end of the leagues in 2020 that GAA GO cover the games for a 5er or a monthly pass for 20 quid

Totally agree with the assessment of how we should do in the first round, although, heart stopping as it would be, I'd take a single score win. It's still a win and yes not very stylish or convincing, but let's be totally honest, if we scrapped to an All Ireland final and played the worst, most boring game ever seen and won it by a point, history would show we won, not the manner of the win. I'd be elated and off work for a year............ok maybe not that long as I've done that in the past year and it wasn't nice, but you get where I'm coming from!!

Let's concentrate on game one first and see what happens as someone else said. Sorry but I don't buy into the "if we don't annihilate teams we're a failure!" line. I just care that we win one at a time and see how far it takes us. Don't worry about who's next or even who could be next. No point in that until we know we meet someone next!
