Seeing other county finals on this weekend I think was right decision to postpone ours
Hopefully chance of bigger crowd next week

as poster above says, I think Armagh clubs have gone back and won’t challenge in Ulster this year
But great that we have got 2 teams who have played best in championship left- as it should be. And probably start of a series of games between these clubs at this level

when was the last time cross lost 3 county finals in a row (Maghery beleeks CE?)

Never. Closest was in the 1940’s. A few 2 losses in a row. Lost 6 finals and won once through the decade. Worst decade was the 1950’s which was dominated by the Jack Bratten inspired Harps. We never made a final nevermind lose one. Probably means a few asterisks on the Harps wins then in fairness…..@Rufus T Firefly ;):D

It wasn't postponed
Last week junior and intermediate
This weekend hurling.
Next weekend senior.

Makes sense

Pretty sure it was originally scheduled this weekend at start
Yeah I’d thought it was a 2 week break between semi’s and final, same as the junior and intermediate, but no harm pushing it out to closer to the Ulster first round

I thought other referees are above him in Armagh. kevin fallooon is moving to inter county games I thought

Think enough games to go around everyone else but senior final should always be too ref in county
Faloon can't referee every Armagh senior final

If Cross win they could go on a run. They play Antrim winners who are going to be either first time winners or first time winners in 50+ years. Win that and they’re in a semi v Tyrone/Fermanagh winners. Anything is possible thereafter…

Counties should invite and appoint refs from other counties to do the big finals.
That way there is no 'prejudice' and refs still get the big games / more experience

It would deprive Armagh refs of doing their own county, which may be their ambition.

I can't see Cross or CE beating the Tyrone champs, first round win is possible.
