Absolutely, but just can't be used. I know in some cases it's indisputable, but it's very easy to edit or manipulate video to look like a lot of things and the order that they happen or appear can be changed, so presumably that's why unless it can be verified, it can't be used.

Problem is, all these terrified people that "love" their association and are avid "supporters" of their county are very fast to whip out a camera and record and quickly post this stuff to social media. They then talk about how distraught they were at the scenes. I'm sorry, but people choose to be very easily "offended or terrified" by these things. If I was terrified I wouldn't hang around to record it and post immediately to social media to get "likes" or "shares".

Very sorry to say this, but I don't understand how they can square the circle between supporting their team and yet they use the vulgar opportunity to show it in it's lowest light. A bad reflection on an organisation they are part of.

Please don't get me wrong. Those scenes are deplorable and unwanted. But why give those that love to knock our organisation all the information and ammunition and footage they need - and it has been rife again recently especially around Lurgan.

Again this discussion is taking away from what was possibly the best game seen in recent times in The AG - possibly ever!
Are you saying all the recent footage shared on social media was done so by supporters from lurgan?

No absolutely not. Read the line again "But why give those that love to knock our organisation all the information and ammunition and footage they need - and it has been rife again recently especially around Lurgan". I'm talking about thon (ahem) gentleman that raised concerns about the nets being used by St. Paul's. Giving those that love to knock our organisation.............

is there anywhere to find highlights of the actual match?
Sadly it seems not. Was speaking to the guy that records these for Ulster on Friday evening at the club game and asked the same question and he says it's Ulster Council only, as a broadcaster (think maybe TG4 was mentioned) has the rights to it and UC are not allowed even highlights except one or two scores to promote another game or round.

Bloody awful that we aren't allowed to see our own games or share them to promote the positive side of everything that is great and keeps us all following. Games like these that aren't regularly on TV should be allowed to be shown on a website or Facebook or something. I know that I for one would watch games from other provinces as well as our own.

A form of use it or lose it should come into play after a defined period.
If it was a 2 week or 4 week period to broadcast. After which, if not broadcast, they lose exclusivity

By the way does anyone know the official position of u20 players playing for their clubs.
I see Rian O'Neill played for Cross and the Cruppen Mullabawn game was off.

Yeah brilliant idea. Although I doubt that's the way broadcast rights negotiations would go. I guess it'd be a case of they pay their money, they makes their choices.

I remember [vaguely so maybe not accurately] a conversation on the old forum about Armagh tv being given permission to stream one of the league games a couple of years ago and then TG4 said they were gonna do a Longford game (I think as it was an away game and a while ago) and that meant they had taken up their rights to Div3 blocking anyone else from doing any and Armagh had to step back from streaming the home game. TG4 later dropped their plan to do it, but their rights were still valid. Bainisteoir if I remember right explained it all properly at that time.

I think with the way BBCNI treat GAA games here in the north there should be a different set of rights for games here and our friends at Armagh tv or whoever should be showing the games from under 17 up. Maybe even set up an online channel doing weekly roundup shows and the like. I know I'd subscribe or watch. Imagine club championship from all over the north or even Ulster being covered just like the soccer boys get on BBC

I don't think the u20 were stopped from playing for their clubs last weekend but the problem arose when a club, culloville, I think it was, put in a request for their match with st Peter's last Friday to be postponed due to them having 2 county u20. This match was a direct clash with an u20 training session hence why I think they wanted it off (niall Rowland) having a concussion was probably a contributing factor also. Bizarrely the ccc decided in their favour and the match was called off. I think other clubs were then given the option of calling off to which effect the grange clans match, cruppen mullabawn along with a few other was pulled. Rian probably decided that he was going to play for his club as technically I am sure he was allowed to.

Fake News..........if only
Nope. It's/was was genuine at the time I posted it.

The only actual suspensions we had were the red cards received on the evening plus the team official dismissal by the referee.

All others are/were only proposals and the players have something like 3 or 4 days to respond either accepting it or requesting a hearing is my understanding. If they accept then it becomes a suspension and if they request a hearing and then it's upheld it also becomes a suspension. So what I had posted is/was correct (and I say is/was as someone else posted the appeals or hearings were supposed to be tonight).

Fair play to the county board. I’m sure the hundred or so club players affected were more than happy to not play any football at the weekend so that a couple of 19 year olds could get to their training.
I'm sure if the clubs involved really wanted to play their game they could have simply by asking.
