I forgot to mention in reference to Saturday's match, Blaine's fingertips save was top drawer. He was called into action quite a few times towards the end of the match & stood up to the test.

Also if anything showed the determination of a team to win it was when the boys were literally throwing their bodies on the line to prevent a last gasp goal. I'm glad there wasn't only a couple of points in it at this stage as it wasn't easy on the heart or the nerves!

Fermanagh actually annoy me sick of playing them i would rather be in dv 4 or dv3 than play like them
I wouldn't I'd rather play division 1 plus id rather play against a team that plays defensive football than against a team that lies down all the time like Donegal & Tyrone do

Blaine is a great keeper. I was saying a couple of years ago that he was actually our best player at the time. Memories of his super catch in Thurles at the death of that game are still very vivid. We went through a few years of uncertainty in goals, great to have a safe pair of hands there now!

see Forker got in Hogan Stand team of the week, was this deserved ?
I'd say yes. Calm controlled head when Fermanagh were stuck in their own defensive area making sure the lads waited and were patient before launching their attacks. Most times it worked. Also did an enormous amount of work carrying the ball through wave after wave of Fermanagh players driving forward. Covered other players as they went forward. That's just what I remember off the top of my head. Thoroughly deserved his break when he came off even though he did look really uncomfortable as if he was injured again. No-one has said anything yet, so hopefully it was just tiredness.

Hope we have learnt lesson from last year when a depleted team played the last game of the division and lost, need to keep momentum up and defeat the Leesiders. Understand the need for squad players to have a chance to impress but too many changes can disrupt confidence.

Donaghy is an absolute class act. I remember some clown on the old Armagh GAA forum saying how he should be thrown on the scrap heap with some other players. He's the heart of our defence, is a great organiser, brilliant sweeper, reads the play so well, makes important interceptions and breaks forward well. He can be prone to fouling when he has to man mark. Injuries have held him back in the past, which may mean that he hasn't the same miles on the clock as other players his age and could explain why he's playing so well. I wasn't at the game on Saturday, but from what I've read he was outstanding and his absence really has been felt by the team. Hopefully we'll see more of him against Cork and he'll be primed for Down.

Well folks, we have the chance to get a look at some of the fringe players this weekend in a competitive game. Remember Cork will be going full tilt to win this so it's no friendly so who would you like to see tried and where?
Personally I would like to see O'Hanlon get another chance in nets as we may need him if Blaine is unavailable for any reason. I'd also like to see Ben Creally get some game time with Pearse Casey partnering him. And a forward line including Nugent, McQuillan and Jason Duffy would make me happy.!!!! C'mon, I never said you couldn't be biased ;)
