Massive game and a massive test for the lads on Saturday hopefully can keep moving the ball quick into the inside forwards like last week this is will be the best chance of pulling off a result. Mayo like Monaghan not at their best at the moment but no doubting the quality they have. Like stated last week we seem to be alot better with Donaghy in the defence he was outstanding on Saturday. I believe it should be the same team as last week if everyone is fit. Mayo seem to be weak at midfield and we have been strong all year, I would like to see Jarly og on Aidan O'Shea simply to run him all over the pitch i can't see O'Shea keeping up with him. Lee keegan is key for Mayo do we put Jamar on him who was outstanding on Karl o'connell on Saturday or do we bring Aidan Forker out the pitch to mark him. If we win on Saturday this will be a massive result for this squad potential there belief will come with results like Saturday past. We have the legs on the pitch to run Mayo for 80 mins. Good luck to the lads.

Anybody caught between fear and optimism and not sure what to post/think/say?

I hope management are encouraged to work on the defensive aspect of our game after watching what happened with Monaghan last weekend.

Our half backs might not be as prolific scorer as Mayo's but they have chipped in a few points here and there.

I would expect Mayo to tighten up their defence this weekend as they will know there are serious threats in the forward lines. To add to that does any of our team have experience of playing in castlebar? Potentially Cross players?

I'm excited but cautious. The overall feeling though from other websites is a Mayo win and there isn't too much expectation on this forum. No pressure on our lads, go out, play and enjoy themselves. However, this game is going to add years on to every Armagh and Mayo fan watching!

I think this is a real opportunity for our lads to out and give it a real lash, they have very little to lose. Give it all but enjoy it and see where we are at. Hopefully we can get the win but if not then hopefully we can set this team up for next year and onward.

The worst draw we could have got from the Geezer-bashers perspective. If we beat them, his job is secure. If we run them close, his job is secure and if we get beat, it can be said that a team of Mayo's calibre was a step too far for this young Armagh team - and, his job is secure. Looking forward to 2020 with the Geezer still at the helm folks!!

Geezer will stay regardless of the result this weekend, Very close to Ulster final reality is probably should have beat Cavan first day out. Comfortable in Division 2 and beat a team who got beat in all ireland semi final last year. I believe he will continue to improve the squad and we will improve again next season.

Defence was outstanding last week against Monaghan kept one of the best forwards in ireland to one point from play, and what score it was.

Believing we can match Mayo and actually could beat them shows how far we have came in last 3 years. This is the best team in Geezer management at armagh yet. Believe.

Why are people so against McGeeney being criticised? If Armagh are hammered by Mayo on Saturday then there has to be questions about where we go from there. It happens in every sport and Armagh are no different.

I am more than happy to praise McGeeney when we win or even when we lose and put in a good performance. However if we lose, and lose badly then he is going to come under fire. He is the man that picks the team, he is responsible for motivating the team, he is responsible for the tactics.

If a players puts in a poor performance then that isn't management's fault. But when the whole team are putting in poor performances something is going wrong somewhere.

Anyway, it is not the time to be talking about his job. No matter what people think about people who bash McGeeney nobody is looking for an excuse to do so (at least not me). Like every other Armagh supporter I want this team to perform, do well, enjoy and learn from the experiences and for management to do the same.

I am unsure how it will go on Saturday but as I have said repeatedly work on our defensive game just as much as our attack. We can't just focus on one aspect of the game and expect to win. We have one of the most promising and exciting forward lines and Midfield in the country but we can't rely on this. This is the best position we have been on for the best part of 15 years.

There was no need to bring it up

There was no need to bring it up this week after a brilliant display last weekend and going into a massive game this weekend. IMO
