Intermediate B Football League 2019

Would disagree about the leave being shite another high scoring game yesterday. Been to see TS a few times this year now. TS fully deserved of there win yesterday and the league. Results so speak for themselves all year. The game was tarnished by awful refereeing and an incident at the end which ended in a red for a CRU player then the TS manager came on to the field and pushed the player which resulted in another red for a substitute player who ran on but didn’t send there manager off. Referee lost control of the game and himself telling a spectator afterwards to meet him in Tesco car park. Disgraceful conduct. County board need to review his conduct.

Just looked at the name. Absolute disgrace of a referee would honestly be safer off with none

Delighted to see Keady have gained a second successive promotion - its one thing having ability / talent in a squad its another finding someone who can harness that and unify a group of players.... mangers like this are a valuable commodity well done to Management & players.

Have seen him in action a few times, always seems to be a pantomime, threatened to abandon a game last year between ourselves and carrickcruppen because there were children kicking football in the back field behind one of the nets. Complete clown

Yeah, tube comes to mind. The spectator should have taken the offer of the car park meeting. You can be 100% certain he'd be at home by that time hiding in a cupboard. You could ask people from his former club or former neighbours why he's no longer "wanted" in the area.

Great effort from the club hopefully they can maintain in the next level above. Great work being done in keady. Best of luck next season.

Not fair on the players when he is constantly antagonising then on the field. Held the game up and wouldn’t let it flow which eventually lead it to boiling over.

I just think jumping the wall to a spectator is disgraceful conduct for a referee. If a spectator jumped the wall onto the pitch to a referee he would be banned. It’s as simple as that. So be no exception when the roles are reversed.

I heard recently that there were so many complaints something was going to be done but with the low numbers of referees available you can see how the CB are stuck. If every club had at least one referee it would help.

Agree 100% The best games see the referee go unnoticed, but when you are full of your own importance..........

And who would be a referee?? Bit seriously I agree with you too. It's tough on CB to say bugger off, but then I think, I believe there would be few clubs complaining if a game was postponed because he was no longer available, especially if he IS the problem.

Just out of curiosity is he reffing for/affiliated to Eire Og now?

This man is a danger to put on any pitch. He causes rows everywhere he goes with made up rules and crazy decisions. The county board have to give him the boot. I would rather have no game because of no referee than have him.

I think as soon as a player welfare issue arises from his conduct and actions on the field or subsequently as I observed on Sunday off the field also it should be of a concern to the county board.

We are all aware there is an issue with recruitment of referees in the county. That's well highlighted.

Does anyone know if there is an assessment carried out on their performance annually? and by whom?

As i don't like to say this but i don't want to be the one saying "I told you so" when he gets someone seriously hurt as a result of his incompetence.

Usually senior referees would be tasked with assessing them, so if you are at a game and see another referee spectating you can guess they are assessing. The referee being assessed doesn't know he is until the game is over.

Did the county board not recruit 15 or so new referees this year? They cannot referee senior just yet though so this individual could well be given his marching orders soon if the new referees graduate to senior level.

Clubs shouldn't have to worry about the referee when he is appointed, the best referees are ones you never hear anything about. I just hope the county board don't give him championship games this year.
