That would leave pile of dead rubbers. This way nearly every team has chance to get out of the group going into the last round.
you lose 2 games in group you deserve be out,an port mor lost 1 game and cross 2nds 2 games in their groups cross 2nds beat an port mor tonight which puts them out the format is unfair to some teams,it is what it is but i don't agree with it

it is indeed,sure aren't cross always on Armagh TV
I might be wrong and at the risk of sounding like I'm defending our TV folks (well yeah I suppose I am) I don't think they've shown any Crossmaglen games yet and very few last year either except maybe the final and/or semifinal. It'll be second time Ballymacnab have been shown away though - yes I'm one that watches it when I can! Sure where else would ya hear about the ecclesiastical capital?? Nothing bates being there except not being there.
 
Quarter finals will be the 4 winners of the 4 play off games in an open draw against the 4 group winners. When possible avoid 2 teams from the same group pairing up again in the quarter finals.
