I see Derrynoose are treating this like an all ireland final on their facebook page, they wouldn't want to bottle it

Many of those same players didn't bottle it in the junior hurling final a few years ago. Besides for a club like Derrynoose- and Collegeland - this is their all Ireland final.

Yup, nothing wrong with going a bit mad for a county final, especially with clubs who don’t taste a lot of success.

I’m sure it’ll be a great time in both areas leading up to the final. Hope they enjoy it.

And what odds? It’s this attitude that’s infiltrating the GAA in recent times that is creating the haves and have nots. The junior final to a dyed in the wool Derrynoose man means just as much as the AI final to the Dubs it Kerry men last week. Very disrespectful of you

I went and looked on their facebook page and its very obvious the club is proud of their senior teams achievement. Only six out of 47 teams can make county football finals and they, and Collegeland, are the first.
No doubt the next ten days or so there will be great excitement and colour in their respective areas
No doubt the two teams that make.the IFC final this weekend will be the same
Im sure you meant no harm or disrespect to Derrynoose but you see how a simple wrong choice of words can raise different view points

Most clubs getting to a county final have best wishes posters nailed everywhere. Sure these are the days you live for, spent all those years supporting, volunteering, coaching (and roaring). Unless you’re Cross, County Finals don’t come along that frequently, so we will enjoy it my friend. Win, lose or draw (enjoy it more if we win mind you).

The other thing is for the winners to represent their county as champions in Ulster. That would be a huge thing for small rural clubs like Collegeland or Derrynoose. Maybe even get to an AI club final in Croke Park.

I think I remember Grange winning an Intermediate Final in Collegeland jerseys v Keady, early 90s?
1993,no it wasn't the collegeland jerseys, blue used to be the grange main club colours back then, it was the last time they won the intermediated championship, maybe they should change back to blue

If Collegelands can get off to a blistering start say rattle in a couple of early goals I reckon they will be hard to catch! If they start nervously then Derrynoose should have the upper hand. I am going for the 'Land though for 3 points!

Best of luck to Collegeland in Sunday.

Was at the two semifinals and Derrynoose looked good, but that means nothing this weekend. Collegeland need to trust their younger players and start them, bring on the experience in the later stages to see it out.

Derrynoose looked good, a strong physical youthful team full of running. But Forkhill didn’t show up so I’d be cautious about reading too much into it. Heard from a lad in forkhill that they thought they’d won it when they beat Clonmore and just got caught with one eye already on the final. But that takes nothing away from the noose, they showed character in the last 15 mins.

A lot depends on how the referee call it, if he lets a lot go, I think it’ll favour Derrynoose. But I’ll stick with the parish and go Collegeland by a point.

Seen both times quite a bit this year. Would fancy Derrynoose by 8. They hit form at the right time and are a strong physical side who also have the fitness levels and a huge panel. Hope Collegeland run them close but I can see Derrynoose running away with it.

Best of luck to both teams in the Final!
