The ticket issue is likely a mix of both CP and county board. I know for the game against Cavan, the online tickets stopped on the Wednesday evening. I emailed the county board and they got on to croke park who instantly made them available online again until the Friday afternoon. So our county board did try to do something. I feel this is croke park trying to rinse every penny out of every gael. It may not seem a lot but the fact that is we are at the 4th league game and the exchange rate has been steady at around 1.19 To 1.20 euro to the £1. Yet tickets are still the same price essentially in euro and sterling so nothern supporters are being hit for an extra £2 to £3 per game. O neills should be allowed to sell tickets in all outlets and there should be a shop in armagh doing the same. There are centra and supervalue in armagh city as well. Its small things in this day and age that show how we are treated differently. Anyway good luck to all involved tomorrow
I’m really not sure how or why the County Board have to share in the blame.
I completely agree with Rufus’ original point. Ticketing is a bit of a mess. Whilst its far from the biggest issue it is inexcusable. The competition is organised by CP. It is they who should have a clear policy on when tickets cease to be available online. It is they who should look to distribute tickets on the high street and manage the necessary network.
Previous examples of County Board getting involved are in my opinion examples of the County Board going above and beyond it’s responsibilities.
Ticket prices also seem to be completely out of whack.
