I see that Cahir O'Kane is basically goading the GAA to say whats happening with fixtures. No-one can say whats going to happen but he's obviously SFA to write about so he sinks to a new depth, IMHO.
How about writing about the GAA volunteers out there assisting with their communities, the GAA volunteers who have put together schedules, rotas, contact .numbers for those who need help.
Fixtures will come at some stage - they are not overly.important in the bigger scheme of things.

Leaked Plans for GAA Championships?

the GAA have indicated that Club Championships will begin in June or July - No spectators, formats redrawn to ensure each team get minimum 2 games. 8 weeks to complete from start date, which is dependent on the restrictions being eased by June.

the All Ireland Finals on 18th or 25th October under current format. Capacities for all games massively reduced, if allowed at all. Provincial & All Ireland Club Championships to go into 2021.

Leaked where?

A lot of counties may need a special convention to change their championship
Does every county have enough referees to do this - especially when there'd be a lot of games per week?
What about club leagues - played after championship?
What about the national league?

As for no spectators - how is a club to stop spectators getting in?

Ah now Joe, you're just being silly. Sure they'll just erect 500ft fences around the perimeter and the Mexicans will pay for it - according to a reliable source who told it to someone who heard someone who knows, talking to someone related to a hairdresser that was talking to a neighbour of the original source!

The GAA are expected to confirm later in the week that provincial championships will be postponed indefinitely - until times that the current situation is clear, in relation to the current coronavirus outbreak.
On Friday, the association are going to hold a 'Special Congress' to pass an 'emergency powers act' to allow the top brass to make decisions relating to the rest of the season.
“We are going to give power to the leadership in Croke Park, so we don't have to refer back to Congress,” Feargal McGill, the GAA's Director of Club, Player and Games Administration

nothing will be played before Wednesday, May 5 which is just 11 days before Derry are set to face Armagh in the Ulster SFC. Derry are due to play Offaly in the opening game of the Christy Ring Cup on the weekend of May 9/10.
The GAA are currently 'keeping an eye on' government on both sides of the border before any decision is made.
“When we get an indication from them of when things are likely to return to some kind of normality, we'll then be able to make decisions both on the structure of an inter-county championship and when that would start,” McGill added.
It is likely the Super 8s won't be played and the hurling championship will revert to knock-out.
In terms of club activity, McGill said there was 'no truth' in the speculation that club championships are being planned for the months of June and July.
“If there is going to be a period when there is going to be a restriction on attendances, then perhaps we may look at a period of club activity (not championship) before the inter-county championships start. But we are staring into the unknown,” concluded McGill, who is part of the senior football management team of his native Bornacoola in Leitrim.
On March 18, Derry CCC informed clubs they would get 'two or three' weeks to prepare for 'any resumption' of activity.
“From talking to Stephen (Barker) and people in other counties, they are all keen to allow a lead-in until any serious (club) games,” McGill added.
The GAA 'have a desire' to complete rounds six and seven of the inter-county football leagues and the division two and three finals in hurling to enable the association to get off on 'a good footing' next season.
“The bottom line is, no decisions have been taken yet” he concluded.

Possibly good news, but I still believe that there will be nothing until late in the summer and think (yes think) that if games resume, they'll most likely be behind closed doors and possibly online only or recorded to be be shown to tv or online. Just a guess and what I think could happen based on nothing more than reading between the lines like most people are doing.

Taken from gaa.ie

"When sporting activity recommences, the GAA will accommodate both club and county games. The Association also intends to complete the Allianz Leagues, or at least those games that have a bearing on next year's divisions, where possible.

A Special Congress, to be held remotely, will take place this Friday to propose decision-making flexibility to allow us vary competition structures, if required, in advance of resuming games.

In keeping with the approach of the Association since the start of this crisis, all of our decisions will be based on the advice of the medical professionals and the government."
