Theres always some OTT comments, can ignore those.
What i'm finding embarassing is these pitch invasions our fans do after every game. The whistle had barely went and our fans had the players swarmed. There was grown adults pulling at Rian demanding photos within seconds of the final whistle when he clearly wanted off the field. The players are only human and should be given some time to compose themselves. I'm sure very few of them were feeling the best after the performance.
Wait around the back for the players after if you really need to see them!
It's actually becoming a massive health & safety and safeguarding issue also. You could clearly see Shane McGuigan asking a young fan to 'go away' after the game tonight which he might get slated for but shouldn't. These guys are playing at a professional level and don't need swarmed like this. GAA needs to step in and set the parameters.

I actually wanted to go on to the field at the end and shake Luke Loughlins hand. If you know, you know. Given the amount of people there and the manner of their defeat I didn’t think it appropriate though

Tough game there today and after the previous match we finally got a bit of luck.
It's over and done and of course the team has to improve but I'm sure they will.
But they've played well all year, been very competitive and hopefully getting over the line today gives a great springboard to next week.
It's unfortunate TK and Niall Grimley are out as they bring different skills to a game.
I thought the support today was unreal - in some part I think us supporters dragged them over the line

There was something that happened at the end of the game with a spectator, I think. Lots of medics involved
I hope the person is ok - there's more to life than what happens on the field

One of the Armagh stewards took a massive heart attack. Both doctors ran up to control centre. He was resuscitated and transferred to hospital

Absolutely agree with the fans bit. But we all know that when someone owns a cameraphone, all sense and rationale disappears.

I really do feel for the players. They are exhausted, need to do their warm downs, etc, and two seconds after the whistle 5,000 people want a selfie.

This year I’ve seen a few high profile players run for the tunnel once the match is over, and I don’t blame them. These things need controlled.

Not good enough by a long shot all round. Rian did well to keep his cool as they were at him the whole time. Forker very good I thought as was Murnin, Mackin got through a lot of work but made silly mistakes too, like everyone. Look we’ll take it and move to the next one.

The amount of armchair critics on this are absolutely sad. Yes armagh were poor but this was an extremely loseable game immediately after an incredibly physically and emotionally draining loss.
People seem to take an utter delight in posting the most negative comments about players and management as soon as things start to go wrong.
The players kept going. They kept battling when it looked like all was lost. Surely they deserve a smidgeon of credit for this instead of overwhelming criticism.
It had to be very difficult to raise themselves after the Ulster Final. Provincial losers record in the old qualifiers was always abysmal so in my eyes any win was an achievement. Westmeath have better players than a lot of people realise.
Yes it was a lucky goal but was it any more lucky than Derrys. Those balls are there to defend and if you can’t then goals are always a possibility.
I do believe a lot of players are off form and geezer has a lot of major decisions to make.
I personally found the aidan nugent starting spot hard to Justify and this was backed up by his Display.
Confidence seems to be at an all time low.
Jemar could not have been fit if he saw no game time there.
Thank god for Andrew Murnin. A colossus. Shout out to Ben crealy as well. Thought he did a lot of excellent work and will be better next week.
Armagh are going to be completely dismissed by everyone now and this is fantastic. The criticism on this forum alone will be deafening.
We will beat Tyrone next week. !!!!
Well said

Just had a look there.

Theres a massive hangover for teams that played in the provincial finals.

Mayo beat kerry
Donegal beat clare
Cork beat louth
Monaghan drew derry
Kildare drew sligo
We won and glaway won.
2 win 2 draw 3 losses and one team to play.

Teams sitting and waiting have a small advantage. Touch wood that will be us back to speed and pitch of game for next week

This may go against the grain, but I actually thought we played pretty well in the first half and were by far the better side. The only issue was and it is a big one granted, we didn't take our chances. If Rian had buried his shot and one or two players converted what were simple chances, we would have run away with it. Obviously scoring is the entire point of the game, but I thought other aspects of our game were very good and we looked like we were up for it. They then got a goal which came about from Rian not getting the ball dead, they come up the field and work a good goal, which gave them that cushion. After that you could feel that every missed chance was more crucial than the one before.

The second half wasn't good enough and Westmeath really looked to take the sting out of the game by holding onto the ball for long periods of time. They looked pretty comfortable and will be sickened that they didn't win. The end of the game was box office stuff and we can't rely on that as a game plan going forward.

Armchair supporters have just as a right of a opinion just as much as a supporter that goes too games doesn't make them any lesser of a supporter does it

Will we be able to see highlights of our game on tomorrow's Sunday game. There were no highlights of Kerry/mayo and Galway/Tyrone last week. It is a disgrace there are no highlights of games shown on gaago. Gaago should be boycotted for this reason alone.

Sure in Kerry they were rushing up to the Cliffords on the day their mother died. Some people are bollockses.

The highlights were there 5 minutes ago on the Saturday game. You'll still get it on RTE2+1 or on the RTÉ player.
The highlights looked better than the game.

There’s a 3 minute highlight video on the GAA’s twitter
