Wonder how strong we go Saturday
I suppose we're not really concerned about the result on Sat but don't want a hiding. I'd love to see 3/4 of the u20's dropped into that team from last night to see how they get on. Mickey will go strong and try to win this competition.

Agree with above - enjoyable game of football. any win against Tyrone is a positive. Plenty of players put their hands up

Shea Magill - excellent bar the goal at the end. More of an orthodox keeper, hence his shot stopping tonight was excellent. Distribution decent. Although unlike Ethan and Blaine doesnt look very comfortable outfield.
McGrane - I made it 1-1 from corner back. exactly what armagh are missing - an attacking corner back who can take scores. hard running all night. very good
Rowland - Distribution very good. Always looking for the kick pass forward rather than the easy hand pass back. Looked a bit leggy near the end but enough in the tank to step and kick an excellent point
McConville - Played very deep but looked sharp and hungry. Worked hard and forced at least 2 turnovers.
Oisin O Neill - as well as leading by example he is also a born leader. could hear him organising the less experienced players. free taking another string to his bow. excellent

also a mention to jemar. took a lot of punishment when he came on but stood up and carried the game to Tyrone at a vital time.

is it just me who prefers a scoring forward to play in the scoring zone?

I agree with all of this, I did notice myself that Rowland always seemed to kick pass which was great to see,

Yeah but the way teams play now means there is no space and alot of sideways passing, Cian mcconville never stopped moving and working and didnt skip on the defensive work also chipped in with a few points and one from play, I think with a few more games he would gain more confidence

Any win against Tyrone is a good win. You need to make a habit of winning against these teams, even if it's 'only' the McKenna Cup. I know when we've lost to them in the past in it, it's irritated me. Just from the fact that it gives them a tiny psychological boost. Of course it's not the League or Championship, but it's a little paper cut, that stings. Great to see Oisin O'Neill back and scoring. We've had to be patient with him and hopefully he can get a run of games and start getting up to the level we all know he's capable of. I would love to see him as our out and out full forward. He's big, fast, win's his own ball, can bring others into play, is an aerial threat and can score. He could be a real handful for any defence and is something we've been lacking. Kerry have got Clifford, Dublin have Con, Galway have Comer - a rock in at full forward. I'm not saying he's at their level yet, but you can see the similarities.

Would someone be able to name the team that lined out, as it appears to be slightly different from the one named?

Think he’s better in midfield, good hands and has an eye for a good forward kick. If Murnin can carry over the form from last year I’d like to see him at 14. Flanked by Cian and Rian.
