Good point - I think the 4 you mentioned find it tough to play a full game (Grugan is probably the least affected). The likes of Duffy, Nugent, TK etc have had very little game time in the league - the older boys could have been rested more

Grugan was good - as was Paddy Burns and McElroy, but I thought Mackin was outstanding. Half back suits him much better.

Mackin is a work horse - probably deserves a half back spot. How about Jarly og and Rian for midfield?

Not surprised at all - already promoted and a cup for division 2 means little. I suspect Geezer feels the same. Tomorrow will he like a challenge match, no real significance. I hope we use it to get boys who need it game time - Rian, Nugent, TK etc.

For comparison purposes - Derry have their first choice 15 playing against Mayo. Interesting to see how they play and how they get on.

Put Rian and Duffy into that team named (possibly for Crealey and Turbo or Conaty) and that could well be the championship team. I think he may well leave Murnin up top and will play Rian around midfield.

Very quiet on here and only 2 days until the Cavan match. What will management's attitude be - go full blast or continue to get some players game time? We need to beat Cavan to get promoted and then we can rest players and focus on the championship.

Beat Cavan and we are promoted - simple. If we cannot beat Cavan then we have no errand going into division one amongst the big boys. Watched Cavan v Meath and they didn't look much, so we should beat them by 4 or 5 points.
