I think it flows quite well-not sure if increased physicality would improve the game. AFLW for examples is an awful watch-like watching seagulls fight over a discarded bag of chips on a Portrush beach. Would be better having contact rules that favour basic footy skills
Think the stop clock in...
Great stuff. Kelly Mackin and Aimee Mackin were fearsome in attack
Was listening to BBC Radio 5 Live a few weeks back. Colin Murray was talking to mostly Norn Iron based ‘celebrities’ and callers about their favourite and most inspirational Irish sporting icons. Fair bit of chat about Georgie...
Ah Jeez No!
Not the ripping of Peter’s jersey
The Horror! The Horror!
Worse than the Turin Shroud getting torn apart
It was a spiteful game between two teams that really did not like each other. We didn't have the monopoly on hard hits, but we were the ones who got hammered in the media- that...
I do not think it was an imagined perception that the level of resentment towards Armagh grew the more successful we became and when that success looked like it could be sustainable. They considered us colourful and cuddly when we won Ulster in 99, and there was genuine delight at our AI...
For my part-I don't feel sorry for Kildare during any game against us. I'm hoping we win every battle when playing them. But away from that, I am sorry to see Kildare in such a bad state. I think that is what Diarmi is saying also. The Leinster championship needs a good Kildare team and when...
Agree with this-Blaine has done very well and shown confidence under that high ball. He will be tested more rigoursly next week but so far he has done everything and more that has been asked of him. Would have to say I have also been impressed with Joe McElroy over the past few games.. He is...
I think on most days we will win-but given the potential that is in their squad, Kildare are seriously underperforming and the battle cries coming from down there are for them to turn it around this weekend. A third loss, and they are looking at a real possibility of playing in the Thingymajig...
I see their county chairman read the riot act after that last defeat, putting some pressure on manager Glenn Ryan for much improved performances/results. Agree, dangerous time to meet Kildare-particularly if they make good use of the break to assess things. Some very good players in that squad.
Congrats Cullyhanna. Stuck at it.
Ballyhaise will feel they let that one get away. Cleaned up in midfield, won most of the breaking ball and played nice direct football. Only for some wayward shooting, they would have been out of sight. Great pass from Nugent (I think) to set up the winning point
