Attacking play in the first half was excellent. Still a bit poor defensively. Not a lot of positives on the second half outside Turbo’s 1-1. Both ONeills outstanding. Cavan brought on some fella they took straight off the rugby pitch
was he rugby tacking every armagh player

Good way to get the season going. That's some scoring no matter who you are playing. The strength of our panel is impressive, when you see the players that are missing, injured or just didn't play today. It's encouraging to hear how well the O'Neills played, especially Oisin, considering all the county football he missed last season. Sounds like he's taking his Cross form into this season. There's no doubt we have the attacking play to hurt a lot of teams, but what is going to make the difference is how we defend this year. It's really let us down at key times over the last few years and we will have to see an improvement here this season if we are to progress in the league and Championship!

Anyone have a list of who scored what?

If I noted it correctly:

A. Forker 0-1
O. O'Neill 0-3
A. Nugent 0-3
S. Campbell 0-1
C. Turbit 2-2
R. O'Neill 0-6
J. Duffy 0-1

Having now checked the paper:
N. Grimley 0-1
O. O'Neill 0-2
The rest is correct.

Yeah #20. Thought it was hilarious if it wasn't so serious. On he comes and runs straight into our lad and wrestles with him and we get a yellow card. Good win in spite of the stupidity of the referee - he was just poor by the way in my opinion, not biased :D.

Poor is being kind, no cards issued for players being taken out in the air but Soupy gets a yellow for having his arm caught & held. Some ridiculous decisions but should I really be that surprised

Of those missing today do we know if injured or just playing a panel in McKenna cup? McKay Murnin Hughes Grugan all are 1st 15 players. ....

All of a sudden we have a midfield issue but...how do Grimley Sheridan O'Neill and og Burns all play.....

Jesus we could have some team if stay fit. We need maybe but more in defence but we could line out:

Hughes
Morgan McKay Hughes
Forker Donaghy Shields
Grimley O'Neill
Grugan og Burns Hall
Campbell Murnin O'Neill

Yikes...now add in just for a start!
McElroy
J Clarke?
Turbett
Duffy
Nugent
P Burns
McCabe
Rafferty

Well, you know........ (face palm) I guess I should cut the tripe outta him as we won and then it's not sour grapes, but he was shite.......I mean poor!

I have to say on that particular one I nearly wet myself. I'd just said to my mate "what about the Cavan tackle a few seconds ago "over there" and then Soupy pointed to the same place when he got the card so I can only imagine he was saying the same :D

He blew rian up for over carrying when he didn’t even have the ball in his hands and had 4 Cavan men beating him like a Lambeg drum
Yeah and again that WAS laughable! If you noticed, even Rian laughed at that one and The Cavan player also grinned and shrugged his shoulders.

I think we'll see Grimley, Og Burns and O'Neill all playing together - one of them either dropping back from full forward or half forward. I think we will need to find a way of accommodating all three of them.

And don't forget Sheridan as well. I know not everyone rates him, but Aaron Findon is another well capable lad.

By the way, I'm just delighted you include Jamar Hall in your 15. What a great hard working talent that lad is and gets little credit from us

A nice position to be in and that creates the competition for places that keep players focused.

True on Hall. But how do you leave Nigent out. Good problems to have. Oisin has to start also giving geezer another headache

I know. How much have we craved this over the last few years? Just imagine ALL players staying fit - well at least fit enough to come on if needed! A few game wins is now a reality! The potential is great. Let's see what this journey is like. Dublin we're coming for you!!!!! ;):D (ah come on, we're allowed to get carried away after beating a massive team like Cavan )
