It was on a few months back. Watched it for the first time.

We were still in it after half time. We hit the post and Dublin went straight up and got a goal. We had a good 10-15 spell after that but just couldn’t make it count on the scoreboard.

Good job that the standard of football is much better now than it was back then
Gaelic football is evolving and if we were playing the same as 40,30 yrs ago it would be a poor sport

Football can be a poor spectacle these days too.

They reckon it was the first time Croke Park ever seen colour @Big Jim @PatMustard you’s were only in your early thirties back then what was it like ?

Ps we should have played with two sweepers

Ah to be in my early 30’s again... it was a great scene alright. Croke Park was probably the most colourful it had ever been.

Interesting fact, all those Armagh flags were made from a load of Orange Order gear that was stole from Orange halls.

15 flags we, er, they made from one big banner... apparently (think I just about got away with that). And if you look closely at the flags at the game, the odd one has a bit of material that has King Billy’s horse’s head or tail on it. Hence, the term ‘head’s or tails’ was born. True story.

Ah now Billy young lad, I can't really recall except that we didn't have a colour licence, so on the day we stood in the back of the stand at the black and white section. You did mean the '53 final didn't ye ya little bollox! By the time '77 came round we were avoiding paying any licence at all so stood on the Hill watching through a letterbox - and before anyone says it, yes we were that posh we brought one with us!
