So what I am hearing is that if Tipperary beat Limerick and qualify for the Munster final - A number of teams who did not reach a semi final in their province i.e Armagh ,Clare ,Louth, Tyrone and Mayo will go into a bowl and two teams will play in a Preliminary round play off . Can anyone else confirm this.

Not sure that there is a stipulation that it is the teams who don’t make provincial semi finals that go to a pre-lim round.

If any of Limerick, Galway, Donegal or Kildare lose there is a need for a prelim. If all 4 lost there would be 12 teams in the qualifiers, so 4 prelim games would be needed and all teams would need to be in the hat and not just the 5 beaten quarter finalists. Same premise if 3 of the 4 lost their semi finals.

yea probably unlikely the other 3 will lose however the other game is 50/50

So its wrong that teams that's don't reach the semis are drawn for the Prelim round if there's 9 teams two will be drawn out of the 9 and not just the 5 mentioned is that correct ?

As far as I am aware shouldnt matter if you reach semis for example Cork went straight into a semi so why should they not play its just the luck of the province
