The seedings starting to take shape now

Pot 1 -Barring a miracle Dublin , Kerry, Galway , Ulster winners

Pot 2 - Clare , Sligo , Louth or Offaly , Ulster runners up

Pot 3- Tyrone , Mayo , Roscommon , Losers of Derry v Monaghan

Pot 4 - Westmeath , Donegal , Armagh if beaten by Down Louth if beaten by Offaly, Cork if Armagh Or Louth make provincial final , next in line Kildare .

Not confusing at all

Don't you worry
There'll be cold, hot, marked containers in there.
Guaranteed hum dinger of a game or two at the start of this
TV will be looking it and the GAA will want big games to start it all to justify this setup
Totally that's why week 1 are pot 1 v 3. Likely to be the strongest in each group.

Bit of chat about the draw being before the finals but in truth doesn't affect us. Every provincial finalist will want to win to get a pot 2 team. The group with the ulster losers in will be tough.

Odds on one of the groups having 3 Ulster teams?????

could live with that
I predict a 'group of death'
Kerry
Armagh
Mayo
Kildare
Worry about beating Derry first and we’ll get at least one game against a weak. One win and you’re almost certain to at least be in a preliminary quarter final.

I take it that teams who meet in provincial finals can’t be in same group?

The super 8s was a better system
Problem with the super 8s was there wasn't 8 good teams at the time only Dublin and mayo, this will be better imo but only if provincial winner is seed 1 all the rest of seeds by league place and have all games neutral and then the top 2 go through, I think this will happen eventually after a few years, groups of 4 for then 3 to go through is stupid

The only thing is that if top 3 go through then every team should have something to play for on the last day, whereas if you lose your first 2 games then you could have nothing to play for and we would end up with dead rubbers. Agree about the seeding by league place. Pot 3 is gonna be far stronger than pot 2 although most years you’ll have a strong ulster runner up and a strong Connacht runner up, luck of the draw this year
