Armagh 2020

There are still a lot of emotions spilling over from yesterday and we should have won but it was one of those days were things went against us. We are by no means the finished article and there is still a lot of improvement needed for the coming years.

Although we have only been out of the championship for less that 24hrs, it is best to go through what we need to do for next year now while it is fresh in the memory.

This team as a unit have not been playing together for long but they have shown us glimpses of what our future is like and it is exciting not just for us Armagh fans but the game of football.

We are 2/3 players away from having a first team of really quality. That is something we have not had for many years. Mayo are a conveyer belt of talent and we need to strengthen the depth of the squad with a particular focus on the defence.

I have thrown my fair share of criticism at McGeeney in the past but on yesterday's showing I think we should keep him around. The problems with management seem to lie with the support staff and I personally would love to see someone like Grimley back working with McGeeney.
