I know I come from a club that doesn't facilitate hurling but it does't stop me being interested in it within the county or further afield.

I have seen most clubs play this year in Armagh.

Who do you think will win the Senior and Junior championships this year?

Same old Keady/Middletown for senior and Sean Treacys who refuse to move up to senior winning the junior again? or will Derrynoose break through? Cuchulians going well in the Antrim division 3 this year, they are also surely plotting the demise of the big 2?

IMO the junior isn't competitive at all anymore, Killeavy and Craobh Rua have gone backwards, Middletown seconds should give Sean Treacys their toughest game.

Keady probably favourites after winning last year with a young team, and Sean Treacys expected to win the junior.

Can understand Sean Treacys reluctant to move up to senior to train all year for more than likely one championship game, they would much rather win the junior and have a push at Ulster Junior.

It would be interesting to hear the thoughts on a round robin set up for the senior hurling championship, top 5 (Keady, Middletown, Cuchulianns, Derrynoose and Sean Treacys) all play each other once and top 2 play off in a final.

More games would surely leave it more appealing for teams like sean treacys to move up and close the gap. Can't see it happening though, county board wouldn't be keen on the headache it would cause to fixtures, just a thought.

In the ideal world a round robin championship would bring on armagh hurling but the county board are football driven and set aside small time periods for the hurling championship.

Sean Treaceys shouldn't be given an option of staying in junior it is unfair to the rest of the junior teams that could have a chance to develop their club. Derrynoose should have stayed in junior after winning it in 2017 if that was the case but they played keady in a highly entertaining semi final last year. Middletown's training session of a semi final against Cuchullians last year raised many eyebrows of the Armagh city clubs senior credentials and I think Keady will brush them aside.

Do you think there will be any shocks in the championship @John Hogg ?

The championships were changed a few years ago by a vote on a motion put forward by Tir na nOg.
Perhaps if the huge chip on the shoulder that hurlers seem to have is removed and they get the proverbial finger out they may well make their own proposal(s).

Small periods of time for championship: how many teams are in it?
Until then perhaps keep your opinions quiet until you check all the facts
