Armagh Football on Youtube

Not sure how many of you have seen recent videos of Armagh games posted on YouTube by O'Neill's GFC An Port Mór? Great to see and much appreciated-I particularly enjoyed Armagh vs Kerry at Davitt Park, 1982. I was at that game which had 10 goals. Never seen it any TV or video footage of it before and was a great memory to enjoy during these strange times. Also has Armagh vs Mayo 2004 U21.
Many thanks and great job APM

Some good stuff on Port Mor's facebook. I like the video of the team bringing Sam to the club. Fr Sean Hegarty gave a rousing speech that night!

Slightly off topic-but I remember hearing a story at the time about a parish priest who had the parish bulletin printed on orange coloured paper for the Sunday just following the 2002 All Ireland.
Was that Fr Hegarty in APM? When I heard the story, it had evolved that it was an Armagh priest based somewhere in Tyrone, who did it as bit of a light hearted wind up of the parishioners-but they didn't take it at all well.

Remember hearing about a priest encouraging people to wear their Armagh shirts to mass the night before the AI final. Flags were banned though.

Never heard that story before but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Fr Sean. A larger than life character and extremely passionate about Armagh. He was based in Ballygawley or Kildress at the time. Tyronies in my experience don't often see the humour in these things ;)

Thanks Mike. If true, it must have been Fr Sean. I heard the story a couple of times-apparently the priest used to like engage in a little banter with the parishioners, which was generally 'tolerated' up to a point. The orange coloured bulletin didn't go down at all well. Tyronies severely lack the humour gene.
