Like the men, that was a big opportunity missed with Dublin and Cork gone. Just couldn’t shake off Kerry.

They fought hard, but it just wasn’t to be. Hard luck girls.

How good were the Meath ladies on Sunday! Brilliant performance. Every player knows their role and carried it out so well. They are a great team to watch.

That Kerry team ran up a big score against us in the QF, but they hardly got a sniff of goal v Meath.

Impressive team. Meath management expressed some mixed emotions afterwards. He has taken them on journey over the past few years from getting severe hammerings, then winning the intermediate title to now retaining their senior title. They could have been in a position to go for three or four in a row, but will now lose two key players to the AFLW that make retaining the title difficult

Well done to Blaithin Mackin. Some way to end your first year in the AFL, scoring the key goal and winning the clubs first ever premier title.

Connaire and Ciaran Mackin, brothers of the Mackin stars….
She has done brilliant. Irish girls doing well out there.
Word up also for Amy Mullholland from Forkhill playing with Fremantle Dockers. Amy went out to Australian for non-football reasons and took up Aussie Rules as an amateur, making such an impact to then be recruited to the AFLW by Freo.

Watching the Div 2 league final on TG4 now., 8 mins in Armagh 3-0 Laois 0-01.
The ladies game does not quite have the blanket defense that the men's game has.

Edit now 4-0 for Armagh, Mackin strikes again.

What's the craic with the Ladies on Sunday, for those of us that go early?
Looking at the previous fixtures , Donegal beat Cavan by 5 points, and Armagh beat Donegal by 8 points, so am I too optimistic in thinking that the curtain raiser at least will be a good one for the Orange?

I don't think so, the Ladies are looking good again this year & have some exceptional talent at their disposal. It will be nice if there is a half decent crowd in to watch them, they fully deserve our support.
