Best of luck to ciaran on his appointment. I'd love to see him doing well. Does anyone know his back room team?

Good luck to Ciaran and the rest of his backroom team and the squad going forward. Any indication of what the team might be like this season or is that far too early yet - I'm more thinking of lads that are possibly still there from last year??

Had there first league game last week against down. Got beat by 3. First touch killed them. Dry ball would suit them better.

Minors (U17) did well today when they got going. A good Antrim side had them struggling in the first half but they came good in the second half. A few very stylish footballers in the team and they're definitely gutsy. When they started to play well Antrim discipline went out the window. Two red cards and at least two blacks - may have been a third, but not sure. Really glad we went out of our way to go to this before going to Ballybofey. Pity there weren't more there.
U16 game was a bit of a disappointment Only scored once in the first half even though the played with the wind. Played with the ball in the second half and improved slightly but we left with about 15 to go so not sure how it finished. They were 6 0r 7 down at that stage.

Ta, but it was worth it as it was entertaining. Can't do that all the time but these lads deserve a little support when we can. Some will hopefully become our seniors in a few years.

Playing Monaghan next Saturday in Clones at 12pm if anyone is able to go.
Following week it's Derry at home

Derry 1-15 Armagh 0-06 result looks like we've a poor minor team the year
They were brutal. But for a kind referee...................can't believe I actually typed that!! Sorry. They played well, but derry were just superior. Referee didn't really give them a few handy frees. Who said that???

So what game is on before the Down game then?
Pat I'm almost sure someone mentioned Nicky Rackard or something like that - I know we're in Newry so it could be whatever Down play in Hurdling, but it's something like that to justify the stupid prices which I believe they have reduced £3 from last year!!

Its shite the way they've took the minor game away from being played before senior game plus the minor team doesn't play the same county as the senior team does.

I agree Bull. Sure it always was great getting the younger lads to play before the seniors and get the atmosphere building, plus those lads deserve the chance to play in front of bigger crowds too. For a lot of supporters (cough cough mentioning no RagingBull names :p) it's the first time they get to see [or in most cases] hear about the new lads coming through.

I get it that it was changed because of exams etc, but then they changed the age groups and the U17s don't worry about that until the following year, so surely the same excuse can't be used.

Or is it just their way of getting more money out of supporters?????????
