Awe yea I agree with you and when I said serious addition I meant in terms of him being flying fit. Like mentioned, he got those few mins against Fermanagh so you would have thought at that stage he’d be primed for an AI Quarter Final.

A few passes by Jarly went awry. I think there was one where he looked like he had passed it straight to the Derry player and there was another where he managed to pull it back.

I remember that pass-in the middle of a promising move in which a score looked on. In fairness if I remember correctly, he also scrambled back furiously and won the turnover.
Uncharacteristic of him to do that; he is usually comfortable with the ball and weighs up his options. I guess when playing a quick ball, you need to accept it won't always work. Look at Hughes' kick-out and others across the championship.
my worry is still the situation if/when we play a team with a strong midfield surrounded by big mobile lugs in the half back/forward line-essentially Donegal and Galway. To an extent, we have compensated for the loss of Big Ben and Grimley well. But Galway and Donegal are a step up in that area and physically imposing enough to put a squeeze on us getting possession from kickouts. But again, management have been preparing for that scenario. Our fast and highly mobile game can put anyone on the backfoot

That's my big fear too, losing crealy makes that fear all the more real now with murnin possibly out it will make winning the midfield battle a whole lot harder
I'll be honest, it's one of the reasons I don't want a home game. I don't think the athletic grounds suits us this season with injuries, I think we are better on a slightly longer pitch. People will say most other pitches are only 2m longer, but that's enough for us to alter the kick out strategy to suit the team.
Length of Armagh pitch is 143m Only three teams have a longer pitch - Galway (2m), Donegal (2m) and Cork (1m) - no way do I want to play Donegal or Galway away - Cork I would like to see us against.

Any advantage the length of that Salthill pitch may have is negated by fact that most times, games are played with a North Atlantic gale driving down the length of the field. And thats on a nice day.
