Championship 2021

You would think Middletown should be beating Blaney quite comfortable. Although compliancy could creep in and anything can happen championship day.

St Eunan's beat a strong Setanta team in the final of the Donegal championship which was a big upset. Could be a big ask for Camlough but hopefully they can get over the line. They have some talented hurlers. Hurling this time of year is never easy and work rate will be key for both teams if they want to continue in Ulster.

Best of luck to both teams.

A great win for Camlough. They got the start they wanted and took control of the game at an early stage. They have another big ask in Con Magee's next round but that game at the weekend will stand to them. Jarly Og was definitely a massive help and a great boost for Camlough. Great to see him back with a hurl in his hand.

I thought Middletown seemed a bit flat compared to their games in the Armagh championship but a win is a win. The ref seemed to be blowing a lot which doesn't allow for a free flowing game.

Next round is going to be the biggest challenge yet for both team. Hopefully we can have 2 Armagh teams in an Ulster final which would be a massive boost for Armagh hurling.

Jarly Og definitely big influence for Rua, but the rest of the team was brilliant. was Jarly Og playing for them the whole year?

Well done Craobh Rua, super result and surely have every chance to go on and win ulster now.

Middletown will be hugely disappointed with their performance, but ultimately just was one of those days and couldn't seem to get up and running at all, Banagher deserved the win on the day.

Can't believe that McGeeney made Jarly og go to county training saturday morning which meant he only made it to Craobh Rua's game at half time, surely that can't be true? He has asked Tyrone to bring the Sam Maguire to the Armagh match friday claiming "that is what the GAA is all about", surely playing for your club in an Ulster semi final is what the GAA is all about, it is December after all and surely any dual player should be encouraged to go out and enjoy themselves on the biggest days for their clubs, not putting a young fella in a position where he has to make a decision, shocking if true.

Wouldnt surprise me if it was true. Nothing shouldnt interfere with Ulster club, especially now until the final. What a result it would be for Armagh Hurling

Its totally wrong and just shows the complete disrespect for hurling in our county. Do u think he will be holding back young turbitt next weekend. Mcgeeney has done alot of good for armagh over the years but this will leave a sour taste for years to come among our local community, Disapointed that jarly og didnt tell him where to go after that but as you said very hard and unfair decision for him to make.
" This is what the gaa is all about" my hole. I hope the CB will intervene and this situation doesnt happen again for any team competing provincially.

I highly doubt that is true. If it is he should have told McGeeney where to go.

Goodluck to the rua tomorrow, massive day for them and would give a great boost to hurling in our county if they get the big fat W. Lets hope they can get the ball (sliothar) to the two bros and number 12 and they wont go too far wrong. Hope geezer lets jarly og play :eek:
