Harps beat Granemore tonight , confirming Granemore's relegation to 1B.

Hope I don't appear to be nit picking, but was Granemore's relegation not already confirmed before last night?

Harps won by 0-16 to 0-10 in what was a distinctly indifferent performance against what looked like a very understrength Granemore. Those from Clann Eireann there last night will have left feeling a lot more comfortable ahead of Sunday's match.

Is the league wrapped up now?

If so, when is the draw?

It's still very much all to play for in the league, with the only issues confirmed is that Granemore are relegated, and that the Nab, St Pat's and Cross will finish in the top four and thus be number one seeds, and Harps will finish in the bottom four and thus be a second seed.

Thereafter, the league title is up for grabs, with the Nab needing to beat Rangers to claim the title. St Pats though can still win it by bettering the NAB result when they travel to Clann Eireann.

Who finishes fourth, and thus takes the remaining top seed place is between Dromintee, Maghery and Clann Eireann. Dromintee are on 11 points, having played 13 matches and have still to play Maghery in their last game. Maghery have also 11 points but have a game in hand over Dromintee. That match is against Granemore, so on the basis of league form, it is hard to see Dromintee finishing above Maghery, unless they beat Maghery tonight. Clann Eireann have 10 points from 12 games and have to play ourselves and St Pats. They can still finish fourth, although would have to be considered the outsiders of the three for fourth place.

One of Harps, Dromintee, Maghery or Clann Eireann will be relegated with Granemore. I'd guess at this moment in time we are favourites for the drop, with Clann Eireann and Dromintee also close by. It would take an unlikely run of results to see Maghery relegated.

So still all to play for!!

Sunday will see the last fixtures take place and thus all issues resolved, and the draw takes place on Monday night at the County Board Meeting.

Harps 1-13 CE 1-3 at half time. Harps look hungrier. They’re bigger and faster and fitter. How are they in this position in the league in the first place?
