Fuel prices

Jesus folks, the price of heating oil and petrol/diesel has gone through the roof (among other things).

I hope I’m not breaking any rules here, but since we are a relatively small county, maybe we could help each other save a few quid by posting up the most competitive prices for road and heating fuel?

Just a thought.

Totally agree young Pat.

Heating oil price is scandalous.

They're firing out as much oil per day as they've ever done.

Severe profiteering going on everywhere and it's hitting everyone in the pocket

Just remember though that it's not the garage owners or heating oil suppliers that set the prices. They're controlled by the big barons. It's just that I heard what I would describe as a sensible looking middle class lady giving a young lad working behind a counter in a filling station severe grief about the cost of the fuel and how he was massively ripping people off.

Totally unfair on the lad as it's nothing at all to do with him and beside that, forecourts have the price displayed as you arrive. Not exactly being ripped off if you know before you enter what you will pay. Now adding things on afterwards is a different story........

As a "by the way" I spend a small fortune on running my vehicle for work and have no choice but travel to and from work. I can't work from home. My weekly fuel bill has risen £43 in just a little over a month. I'm aware that's more than some spend a week, but that's what it is until a "green" vehicle becomes viable!

All that said diesel at Applegreen outside Lisburn last night was at 159p/pl and at Asda in Portadown on Monday evening at 157p/pl.
Monday evening coming out of Dublin I passed a filling station heading to Slane and it was €2.02/pl and I believe there was a 7c increase overnight

£1.59... yesterday I was stuck and put some in at £1.72.

Don’t like giving them big bollixes money but at that sort of price, it might swing it. Although it’s probably going up day by day
