May be of interest to some of you. Separate competition for the Super 8s and semis and final. Paid entry (£10) with couple of grand in the prize pot. First time running it so obviously if interest is good future prizes will be too. Spread the word if ya can!

Any feedback appreciated too (even negative!).

I’m having a crack , I was in the top 10 until the weekend the Armagh loss wrecked my chances , btw @McCoyDromintee i never got my mug for winning the forum comp two years ago

Here never mind him. He's an auld whinge bag so he is! Always on the bite for something free so he does! Probably gonna bail out the Boyne and bring it north for the brethren to walk on the big lump and doesn't want to ruin his ulster scots flask!

You got thon wright ya big Gallut , loyal to the half crown first , any hows I’ve a free hol in the maaldives (not a spelling mistake) to use up before the 12th followed bi an otherwise one on the next 12th of August , while your slumming it a caravan off the side of the road , thon mad yolk Liz , raving at ya , then other two cretin sons of yours sticking their skulls in the microwave for entertainment ....

Calm the beans mini Ian wannabe! I was gonna say "mad Liz" is history, but sure you've a skewed view of what history is so ye'd never work it out. As for the auld caravan, best damn s'wagon in the Ulster region. Ye were brave and fond of it when you wanted to hide from yer granny's bate'ns ya long haired pied piper from Amsterdam! And as for Stíofán and Aindréas, sure they're great wee boys so they are. Pure innocence personified! I understand now what they meant by "getting the Willies!" so I do ;) Now that's what I call a "Gaelic Life"

Next stage in our revamp. Tenner entry and it's National League Division One. Big addition is that you now can pick a panel and make subs as the season goes on.
If anyone intends to enter, register before Monday midday (you don't have to pick your team just yet) and you go into a draw for two tickets to Gaelic Life Allstars and an overnight stay at the Hillgrove.

As always, if you could spread the word to any potential players that would be great. I'll even bring some more news to the forum instead of saracastic answers of "it's in GL"

Not sure what to make of this.

Making subs is a cop out as far as I’m concerned. Once you pick your team, that should be it. No excuses.

Don’t mind paying a tenner. That’s not the issue, as I paid it last year.

Was looking forward to this. Don’t think I’ll bother this time though.

Would absolutely disagree that it’s a cop out. (although I am biased, of course!)

It’s the next natural progression and, trust me, it’s taken a lot of resources to get to the next level. Huge work involved.

Over the years the one complaint we keep getting over and over has been not being able to make subs like the Premier League one. That’s been rectified and I think it’s pretty impressive to produce a game that's so good in terms of interface, options and, hopefully, game-play. The last of those is obviously where we are trying to go, making users want to come back and feel like they can manage a team throughout the league.

That said, I said from the start that I would welcome any negative feedback too. So I appreciate that, especially from a regular player like yourself Mr Mustard. Will take it back to the team and I hope you reconsider entering!

We used to play the Premier League FF on here. Most lost interest. I know I did. Having to make changes every week was a pain in the arse.

I could understand allowing to make a couple of subs halfway through, but if it’s every week, I wouldn’t be in favour.

Why is it just for Division 1? Has the GL gone all elitist on us? :p

Just to clarify, you can pick your team at the start and that can do you the whole way through. You have the option of picking five subs at the start too so if your ff gets a long term injury etc you have the option of swapping that sub in.

On the elitist, absolutely not! Without giving too much away if this is a success the plan will be to expand. All dependent on response though to be honest.

Here, @McCoyDromintee - there are 2 GL FF competitions? o_O

Sorry, haven't been on much.

Yes the Ulster one is still running, for now anyway. The Division One, with the cash prizes etc, is new this year and the hope is to extend that as it grows. Obviously that depends on uptake.

Last day or two to enter, so if anyone is willing to spread the word to mates who may be interested (https://fantasydivision1.gaeliclife.com/), it would be most appeciated!
