Getting to the McKenna Cup final & giving them uns a real scare that they wouldn't be lifting the trophy for the 53rd time  If a few refereeing decisions had gone our way it could have been ours.

Maintaining Division 2 status & knowing that if a few things had gone our way we could have secured promotion to Division 1 & also been in the Division 2 final.

Our performance against Fermanagh in the league, it was a game of patience, patience, patience. As was quoted at the time "we out Fermanaghed Fermanagh". It was even more satisfying after our Championship meeting last year.

The championship debuts of Rian O'Neill & Jarlath Og Burns, delighted that these 2 players are ours.

Andrew Murnin's goal against Down, showed what he can do & what we miss when he's injured.

Jemar Hall. He just continued where he left off last Season, his effort, work rate, pace, willingness to get stuck in & win "dirty ball" & he can take a score & yet some on here wouldn't have included him in their starting 15!!!!!

The Monaghan game. The game in which everything clicked & we saw exactly what our team/squad can do. It was brilliant from start to finish & the ice cream to celebrate when leaving Clones wasn't bad either.

Agree with all of this. I would also add the emergence of Nugent. A very good player. Clarke’s displays against Monaghan and Mayo also

Great debut seasons for O'Neill & burns

Continued improvement of Paul Hughes, hall, Nugent

How can staying in division 2 be a highlight??? 6 points from 14 against Fermanagh, Clare, tipp, Meath, cork, Kildare and Donegal. I think it was a disappointing league and we should have pushed for promotion

A highlight can be a personal thing & for me it is a highlight because we have yo-yoed between Division 2 & 3 over the last number of seasons & the last thing I wanted was for us to drop to Division 3 again :( As pointed out in my post if a few things had gone differently we could have been in the Division 2 final & secured promotion to Division 1.

Ard Mhaca-fair play. I get the impression you are a glass half full kinda guy :)
Indeed, a drop back to division 3 would have been a demoralizing set back and difficult to lift the squad for another campaign in that setting
