As a neutral at this match it was very entertaining. Some good scores by both sides and some excellent frees. Eddie mallon from Tullysarran will be a handful for any defender in this league. Clans were very young with no Ronan Austin, Stefan Campbell, Niall Henderson and Sean Mackie and Sam McClarnon only coming on as second half subs.
Great to see the two championship finalists clubs playing their league games regardless of who they fielded - same as the senior finalists did
Don’t think you could hold it against them if they hadn’t fielded.
Tbf the clans were pretty motivated last week! Ourselves and sarsfields had a good competitive challenge match as well. Training in the dark nights is a pain for players but I'm sure boys all still want to get out on the pitch on a Sunday.
A bit of both, last year was a complete disaster, we lost 13/14 lads at the same time . This year a couple of u-turns on retirement, a number of serious injuries recovered from and a few young lads coming through. Really good numbers whereas last year we had 17/18 & we in most games before just dying in the last quarter.
Only one fixture this weekend?st Paul’s v tullysaren.. not sure how motivated st pauls are, best they can finish is on 6 pts and not sure if that’s enough to get them in til the top 4.tullysaren on the other hand have a lot to play for
