Since
my mate in work is a galbally man, their championship win came at a cost midfielder and ff picked up injuries and wont be available. also several of the younger players on the panel went on a pre arranged trip to Ibiza last Friday and aren't home until this Friday. grange with their never say die attitude at 9/4 on boyles is worth £20 of any mans money.
Since celebrating winning the Armagh intermediate championship Grange players haven't been seen

Is it true that young mousey mckenna from Blackwater has moved stateside to play for Ulster club san fran? Big miss in around the middle for Port Mor but theres little work for chefs around home, can understand why.

Seen that young Mckenna lad play a few times. His head was never in the game , too fond of the drink at the weekend . Heard mullabrack were on to a few men like this to play at the start of the year , young Liam Doran almost joined, a player of poor character

Heard that myself Mullabrack chasing a few men up. Young Doran is a good player heard he has two feet, just I’d doubt he would be committed to the cause .

If I’m not mistaken , was Doran not an Armagh underage county player ?

That was as poor a performance as I've seen for some time. I guess the stories of drinking themselves to sleep even al this week weren't just stories made up. They must have had a dozen or more "criminal" wides that they would have slotted over in he county final, when under little pressure at all and maybe 3 or 4 dropped into the keepers hands.

What the hell is wrong with Armagh clubs that win county titles and then get destroyed in Ulster first round year after year (with the exception of Cross obviously)? Why are they happy with a county title and to hell with what comes next. Galbally seemed fresh and fit. Thankfully they were wasteful and the Grange goal flattered the scoreline if I'm honest.

At least Sean Treacy's gave it a lash and just ran out of steam.

Hit the nail on the head there big jim. To be honest how many Grange supporters went to Cross expecting anything other than a Galbally win. We hit 14 wides. Maybe on balance of play and shot selection 7 or 8 of those should have been made to count. By my reckoning Galbally left 4-10 behind them.

There is a gulf in class between armagh intermediate club football and Tyrone intermediate club football. Galbally are essentially a senior team and it showed. And for Armagh clubs the ceiling is a club championship. Some of this will come down to numbers and catchment areas. For a club like the grange, an intermediate is the aim and anything after that is a bonus.

Structures maybe need to be looked at, but you can't instill ambition when it's not there. Grange looked a team on the beer for 2 weeks. But no other intermediate team in Armagh would have fared better yesterday, and that's the real problem

Ballymacnab and Culloville have both made it to the final of this competition and only lost after a replayed final.
