Junior Championship 2019

Is that from Croker or just from Armagh CB? Have they even the power to do that?
Yeah as far as I remember the CB can introduce a by-law as long as it doesn't affect overall rules and needs ratified by either UC or HQ - not sure which. I think though it might affect championship in the same way as 2nds.

Armagh CB I believe, I think it’s just for junior league. I think the changes with less fixtures and 13 a side are both great for junior clubs. Too many clubs are so close to going to the wall so hopefully this will keep teams going. Cullyhanna 2nds supposed to have folded
People were saying the same thing about Cullyhanna last year, there wasn’t many unfulfilled fixtures in the junior last year so don’t see the need

Both are absolutely shambolic. 13 league games in a full season and a sidebar to penalise teams who are getting good numbers, then have less players participating. Load of dung. What's to stop clubs selecting a squad of 17 if they think they've 12/13 strong and 10 weak players to try and gain an advantage??

Couldn’t see anyone doing that. Player 18,19 and 20+ wouldn’t be long telling the manager where to go.

This was definitely not the motive of Clubs that proposed this. More to do with survival. Senior and intermediate clubs aren’t getting many more games than that in the league.

Not having that, if a club is putting a team in they should be able to field 15 players. Ive been on manys a team to travel with 15/16/17 and if you'd have said let's play 13 a side in the changing room, you'd get turfed out. The reality is that there's not a team will have less than 15 on a matchday, they should play, and the county board have changed the rules of the entire game which in turn reduces participation. There are boys who will be starting then told 10 minutes before the game that they aren't because the other team have boys not showing up, it'll be a last minute thing and that doesn't sit right with me at all. Regardless of the grade, this is senior club football and we're looking at 13 a side!! This will inevitably influence a result somewhere down the line and it makes a mockery of the division in my opinion. I sincerely apologise for my earlier statement, I don't really believe it will be used with ulterior motives, that was crass. However, circumventing the fundamental rule of the sport isn't right for me and I genuinely think it could end up hurting the club's with numbers around the 20 mark - boys thinking they're starting or even getting off the bench only to be snubbed then thinking "we've only 20 and I still can't get any time, I'm off"

Fairly livened up the junior championship
But where is admin
Sorry folks. I'm not around 24/7 and can only react when I get a chance to log in. In a case like that, if someone sends me a PM I usually will get an email notification, but hadn't got anything out of the ordinary. Please delete all those links from your browser history and stop using them. It can lead to an expensive divorce.
