Junior Football League 2020

Your shooting let you down badly last night. Last night we had a very young side out with only a few older heads. The defensive football was unusual and not the norm. Still we had changes to get something out of it but EO deserved the points on the performance of both teams.

A few years in junior would be good for our development

Some good young players for sure, number 11 and 13 were excellent I thought.

Looks that way. Can't really blame Derrynoose for wanting to keep everyone fit for championship
In that case all clubs in the semifinals would be at it
Poor form conceding a game as conceding a game usually means not enough players available or won't travel.
You'd hope it's not because they didn't want to play Cross two weeks in a row

They seen how Cross played last week, malice in every tackle, hitting the man when the ball was released etc. Why risk getting lads injured the week before a Championship semi final?

Are they just scared of cross or what? I presume they aren’t training this week either incase anyone gets injured

you were watching a different game to me! Derrynoose were well fit to leave a bit in the tackle.

If derrynoose actually have over the 30 players listed on there team sheet it’s a disgrace they didn’t play their 2nd 15. I’m sure there’s lads mad on that squad for game time and this was there chance to get it.

If they played their 2nd 15 against Belleek in the junior final if they get there they'd still beat ya's ;):p

Think they had 41 listed last time out.

This league is a farce this year, should have had an A and B league with 6 games each and that was that. Derrynoose did what they did because they are protecting a bunch of players who are dual and would be out 4/5 times a week training, they now have two championship semi finals coming up in the next two weeks. Anyone with half a brain would see that forfeiting a game in the league makes sense for player welfare.

Player welfare.... What size is the squad.. I wonder how the subs feel
And training 4 or 5 times a week... Catch yourself on
It's not the players that are at fault here
Does a team get deducted points for conceding a game?

Aw give over, we are lucky to be getting any football/hurling this year. Killeavy played a championship match in hurling and football today and no yapping from them
