I watched a documentary last night. It was the netflix's series Losers episode Stone cold. It was about the sport of curling and how much the amateur sport had changed as athletes became professional in all but name. And how the fans started to turn away from the sport as it became 'boring.' Very good 30min watch in my opinion for anyone also interested in gealic football as there definitely lessons to be learned. I think sure let me know if you watched it and what you taught.

Gone are the days when the local builder is the u-14 manager, arriving for training, throws a bag of balls from the boot of his car. A few laps and a match. No foam rollers or ice baths here. Old school.

Now it’s fellas with degrees and fitness qualifications taking the u-6 team and it’s a hi tech setup from day one. Get home and eat your avocados, and get your ma’s to buy you all a foam roller. And what do ya mean you can’t commit to 5 nights a week? It’s a different world.

Everyone trying to get an edge on the rest. The enjoyment can only suffer.
