Omagh won the brock cup last time this year group played ulster schools, so I would assume they are strongThink Omagh are strong this year, hard to tell who favourites are though with no comp last year
Obviously schools like the College have a good pick of players from all over, with their history. Abbey aswell. Sometimes you have the players and sometimes you dont, its just about the talent level in the year group.Abbey ko St Pats in low scoring affair
Both armagh teams, ronans and pats out before christmas? Whats wrong with our schools, are we losing our good players from the south to Newry schools and good players in mid/north to tyrone?
You have a point (for once)Not everyone that goes to st pat's plays Gaelic football
Not MacRory but well done to St Pauls Bessbrook on winning their first ever Rannafast Cup yesterday. Probably best not to name any lads on here when discussing due to age but does anyone know the make up of the team? Presumably a lot of Killeavy/Dromintee lads on it?
Any Down men or would they be all Armagh?
All South Armagh lads bar one then. Good to see!
That team was in part back-boned by Aghagallon players who as you know are in County Antrim, most of them represented Antrim at U20 and at least two (Mulholland & Loughran) have played county senior. Add in to that one of the better Armagh players on the team (Oisin Smyth) has went on to embark on a professional soccer career with Oxford Utd.I seen an old comment on this thread about the great win by st Ronan's a few years back, I could be wrong but is t.k the only player that came through from that team? I know they played a collage from westport in the final and they have had Rory brickenden, jack Carney, eoghan McLaughlin all regular starters for mayo now with mark Moran in and out of the panel, I think it's a shame such a good team hasn't produced more for the county
That's right, the year clann eireann won the championship aghagallon lost the final after extra time, would of been a some Ulster game boys who played school together against eachother,That team was in part back-boned by Aghagallon players who as you know are in County Antrim, most of them represented Antrim at U20 and at least two (Mulholland & Loughran) have played county senior.
