Can't be sure of a start date yet, but it seems the draw will happen in November with it normally starting around late January. That most likely will be earlier next year with other dates expected to move forward as well.

Any players worth a call up? Few Harps men looked good in the final, any other players? I’d like to see Eamon McGeown of Sarsfields and Peter Carragher from Silverbridge get a run out

With the NFL starting 28th January, around the time the McKenna cup would have it's final, I'd imagine that the final would be the weekend of 20th/21st January. Last year it started 8th January so wouldn't be surprised if it went with a Wednesday start on 3rd January or at least some time that week. Either that or 7th, 14th and 17th with the final that weekend. Could make it great fun though if the weather went against it.

Seen a post on Facebook saying the O'Byrne cup is starting on the 30/12. Wonder will the McKenna be similar

I am hearing rumours the McKenna Cup could also be starting the end of December but as yet nothing official on the Ulster GAA site.

On Facebook earlier there is a strong rumour that the Draw for 2018 McKenna Cup is this Thursday evening at 7.30pm. If the poster is correct, it's going to be live on Ulster GAA Facebook page and the lads from Armagh tv are doing the broadcast. Maybe if someone knows any of those guys they could be asked so we can confirm and break the news officially or deny it so our members are up to date.
