Good to see Conaty play well today , Also we won the two throw ups , was surprised by Derry putting out glass and McGuigan today . I hope we play Antrim , watched the Tyrone Dublin game as well as i couldn't make the match , Dublin were quite toothless up front , new players aren't a patch on what has they have had before , they will still probably win Leinster but wont be All Ireland contenders i think .
Couldn't believe Tally started those men either! Maybe he wanted 1 last high intensity game in their legs but he'd have been better off giving fringe men a go.

Overall a good campaign I think. Stayed in Div 1, developed players (McCormack, McMullan, McQuillan), legs ticked over and Ciaran Mackin back on the field. Coupled with Derry and Tyrone going down it was a nice finish to it all though Tyrone are playing well and will be a serious challenge as the season develops.

Play Antrim wherever it has to be played, win that and work towards the semi. Ulster would be a real achievement and would help build towards a run at Sam.

According to RTE, us and them were level with +7 scoring difference.

Had we drawn with Tyrone earlier, and ended up level on points and scoring difference, then how would things have been decided?
I think it goes on highest scorers then but I might be wrong

(i) Where two teams only are involved – the outcome of the meeting of the two teams in the group

(ii) Score difference – subtracting the total scores against from the total scores for

(iii) highest total score for

(iv) highest total goals for

(v) A play-off

Mad league altogether. Safety was the number 1 priority and we achieved that, so congratulations to all involved. No matter what happens in championship, it's imperative to be playing in division 1 or 2 to blood new players in competitive games, and we have another season in division 1 to do that next year. Always need a conveyor belt of a couple of players a year. We've had injuries and illnesses etc to deal with and have given time to McMullan and McCormack which is great to see. Trivial matter just, but mayo topping the table on a negative score difference is apt for the season that's in it and rule changes to a new game essentially. Also, had we beaten them at home rather than throw the game away, we would be in a league final. Anyway.

Andy Murnin has been sensational this league and today he was on a different level

Not only the obvious superb high fielding but his general play was excellent

Player of the year and has to be an all star

Callum O'Neill superb today as well
Wasn't even in the programme but came in and was superb throughout

Mcquillan, McCormack,mcgrane,McMullan all excellent today.

It's going to be some super 16s this year

There's ten teams - all div 1 plus Monaghan and Roscommon - who'll fancy it
The team that can keep players fit will do well

The last line here. The team that carries the least injuries will win it. Faster game, shorter season. It's gonna be a hectic 3 or 4 months now.

The sending off changed the game. The tweak to the rules regarding players being sent off/black carded plus the 4 up could have a major impact this year. Discipline will be critical.

Did the Armagh player make contact with the Derry goalkeeper for our third goal? If so I can't understand how it stood. Not complaining BTW however had the game been of more importance to Derry they could feel rightly aggrieved.

I'm not fully convinced by young McMullan yet, I would need to see him in an intense Ulster championship game first. Good lad surely but I don't think he is on the same level as Conaty, I'd be happy to be proved wrong. McCormack on the other hand looks like the real deal, I've been very impressed with him. Great to see Ross showing what he is capable of. I think he has the potential to replace Rian, not as the same type of player but with the impact he has on a game.
