The amount of fouling by both teams in the div 1 final was shocking. Mayo are seriously lacking attacking options, the amount of players turning down shooting chances was mad. They did not deserve to be in the final, in fact neither team did. It was a stark contrast to the div 1 final last year. Likewise with the div 2 final, I can't see either team getting close to an All Ireland unlike Armagh and Donegal but maybe hindsight is helping me here.
Remember that both mayo and Kerry were in relegation shake up and only for a Donegal penalty miss Mayo were down and if Galway had shown up at all Kerry were gone.

It is possibly the most open championship in years. Lets hope that our experience and the confidence gained from last year can be enough to bring Sam home again. The small margins and the rub of the green will be big factors with things so tight between the top 10 teams.

On the subject of NFL finals at Croke Park, I noticed three NHL finals were played at Emyvale, Inniskeen and Newbridge.

I'd imagine the likes of Fermanagh and Louth hurlers wouldn't have a huge following, but do they not deserve their day at Croke Park too?

21,000 apparently was the crowd in Sunday at Croke Park. Not sure about Saturday. Maybe those three hurling games at a Croke Park triple header might not have had more than 21,000, but surely there are more fitting venues for a league final than Emyvale?

Maybe it's a downfall of the condensed season - can't all play in the same venue on the same weekend

Games get lost being played so close to one another - it'll happen later this year as well

Was that the game where the 65’s weren’t even marked? Disgraceful for a hurling final at any level.
