See young McQuillan is one of five lads invited out to an AFL combine next month. While not an absolute guarantee, an invite to a combine is significant step towards being offered a contract with a club. I would anticipate that this lad may likely find himself in the near future having to make an important and not easy decision. Whatever that turns out to be, lets respect that and hope everything works out well for him.

Well folks, we have the chance to get a look at some of the fringe players this weekend in a competitive game. Remember Cork will be going full tilt to win this so it's no friendly so who would you like to see tried and where?
Personally I would like to see O'Hanlon get another chance in nets as we may need him if Blaine is unavailable for any reason. I'd also like to see Ben Creally get some game time with Pearse Casey partnering him. And a forward line including Nugent, McQuillan and Jason Duffy would make me happy.!!!! C'mon, I never said you couldn't be biased ;)

Is Nugent good enough at this level? In fairness he hasn't had much of a chance as of yet but I have my doubts.

I don't like the sound of this. McQuillan for me is a perfect fit for the aussie game - quick, strong, brave. I'd say he'll get an offer - this could be a huge loss for us as I think he's a star in the making.

Great to see Paddy back, we are short options defensively. Will be important to get the win on Sunday with Tally's anti-football up next.

That's a good team and it's refreshing to see competition for places, especially in defence. James Morgan, Greg McCabe, Mark Shields and Connaire Mackin have all been regulars through the league and even though some of them may start tomorrow, having Patrick Burns back tomorrow, the return of Hughes a few weeks ago and Donaghy and Forker back last week and Kennedy playing well, has given us a wide range of options.

Burns, Grimley and Vernon did very well in midfield last week by all accounts, so good to see them all start again. Slightly surprised to see Pearse Casey named, with Rafferty and Campbell seemingly back to fitness. Maybe they will start or McGeeney still doesn't think they are ready.

I really hope we finish the season on a high tomorrow. I remember last year against Wexford when we had secured promotion and then went out and lost to the worst team in the league. Cork need to win tomorrow and always have a big game in them. They have some really good players and should be up for this. I always want Armagh to win, but I think that we can finish as high as third tomorrow if Fermanagh lose away to Meath and Kildare lose away to Donegal. Getting a third place finish would be a pleasing achievement, giving the team a good boost going into the Championship and a good barometer to go by for next season.
