Armagh GAA Chairperson Mickey Savage welcomed the new sponsorship and commented, “Cormac Leonard is a long-time supporter of Armagh GAA and we are delighted that this successful local company has come on board to sponsor our flagship club competitions for the next three years.
Cormac Leonard, commented “I am extremely proud to be the sponsor of the Armagh GAA club championship. As always, a lot of hard work and dedication has gone in to preparation for the eagerly anticipated championship season and I would like to pass on my best wishes to all who are participating.”
The Cormac Leonard Commercials Armagh GAA Club Championships will feature 53 Armagh Clubs competing for Senior/Intermediate/Junior Football titles and Senior/Junior Hurling titles with over 100 games being played. There is an eagerly awaited new format to this years’ football championships with seeding based on league position with almost all teams guaranteed three championship fixtures.
Meanwhile the Hurling Final match ups have already been decided with Middletown Na Fianna playing Keady Lamh Dhearg in the Senior Final and Sean Treacy’s facing Keady Lamh Dhearg II in the Junior Final. These finals will be played on Saturday 11th August in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh.
