New kit in November

I have to say that this is a very big news story for our County and yet it appears to have come in under the radar, somewhat. I wasn't aware of this until this afternoon.

McKeever Sports are a local firm, so it is good to see one of our own get what I'm guessing is a very big 'gig' in terms of provision of sports gear. Good luck to them.

If I'm honest, and there will be people will disagree with me, I really like the O'Neills' gear and back in the noughties, when there was a lot of Azzurri and Gaelic Gear on the go at County level, I used to be thankful that we had not gone down that road. I think McKeevers therefore have big shoes to fill and I look forward to seeing what they produce in terms of quality and design. I really hope they come up trumps.

Have to agree that this has come very much out without any fanfare
It is huge news given its a company within the county who is doing, by all accounts, great work
But looking forward to some jew designs

Yeah Rufus, I agree with you too. Azzurri weren't that big a deal because they were Laois and Waterford and made Donegal for a short time, but it was the Wexford, Fermanagh and closer to home, the Down jerseys that caught my attention. Never liked the way the neck of theirs was and the material didn't feel anything like the O'Neills when looking at them, although I guess never having actually owned or worn them, I'm maybe a bit off the mark. Again I know the GG of field stuff was other brands like Regatta with the county crest and their own logo on them. I did happen to have a good friend from Fermanagh (god rest him, lost his life in an accident) and i remember him showing me it. It was the same jacket a lot of truckers use with a big V8 on them.

McKeever makes some nice gear with some great designs. Quality wise I can't comment, but I do see a lot of Addidas etc. from them, so maybe their off field will go that way, although I doubt it. They seem to be a very good company and do lots of sponsorships of various competitions.

I wish them the best in all that they do and hope we have a "local" supplier for many years to come. Not just stuff that "them'uns" make - there's always a positive!!

Ps. the picture on Twitter looks good. Like you guys I don't understand why there wasn't a massive shout from the rooftops especially with or own Armagh tv in the county. You'd have thought a Live stream of the launch with fanfares would be simple and easy for the media to pick up on if they couldn't be present!

Can’t do any worse than O’Neill’s, Armagh haven’t had a nice jersey in years. I liked the rainbow communications one, especially in white, but other than that we more or less have had shíte jerseys since the 99 one.

Funny, this is where I would take issue. I won't pretend there haven't been one or two disasters, but as an example, the current goalkeeper's jersey and the away jersey are two of the nicest jerseys about. other great jerseys that come to mind were the home and away jerseys from 2004 - 2006. I'll admit that I was a bit disappointed with the home jersey this time around.

I'm definitely in the 'less is more' camp when it comes to jersey design.

Agreed the goalkeeper jersey is very smart. The home and away jersey however are identical in design! The colours are just reversed. Not fussed on either.

If anyone wants to see a McKeever jersey in the flesh I believe the Sarsfield’s are sponsored by them this year

The 2002 shirt had the most annoying sleeves on it. Always thought it uncomfortable to wear.

The Rainbow shirt I like the most in recent years.

Still can’t beat the Carna Transport shirt. I’m still getting wear out of that one 62 years later!
is this the one but in colour?
