Oasis

I'm a huge fan. Saw them 7 times. A soundtrack to my teenage years in many ways.

But the greatest band there has ever been and ever will be?

Seriously?

If they're your favourite I get that. They're one of my favourites. But a band so limited musically cannot ever be labelled the best of all time.

An extreme example - someone could claim Westlife are their favourite band. Again they might be someone's favourite but there's no credibility to claiming they're the best.

Oasis extremely limited in terms of lead guitar, rhythm guitar, drums...

Just two examples, Led Zeppelin or Queen are miles ahead of Oasis musically.

Oasis couldn't cover their songs because they don't have the ability.

But 'favourite' I get.
It was said with a slight bit of hyperbole.

There are days I could listen to solely Oasis. Then other days a bit of Pink Floyd or The Cure.

I have also be known to hum along to the odd Boyzone or Westlife song that is on the radio.

Beauty is in the eye (or ear) of the beholder.

I could listen to Oasis song after Oasis song one day. The next day, it could be pop, classical, jazz, blues, country or folk. Depends on my mood.

Ah jaysus stevie, could you not have just said you love tyrone! We'd have forgiven you for that and blamed it on the euphoric effect of our second AI title.

But humming/singing/strumming/swinging (stop it @PatMustard - not that kind of swinging) to those lot. Man dear. Next you'll be voting DUP!! (not that there's anything wrong with voting DUP mind you, Well not in the context of being a westzone fanboy!!)

AS for @MrMaguire2002 and his love of Smurf songs!! Sheeesh and I thought the therapy was working too!!! :D
