OK, so I’m not just starting this poll because we lost on penalties.

Do you agree with penalty shootouts being used to decide championship matches?

No. Rather they flipped a coin, played rock paper scissors or a game of tiddlywinks.

No reason why that game couldn’t have been replayed this weekend.

Unless they change the format of the championship and leave more space the finish on the day will still be used

Away goals.
No most corners.
No, least offsides
No most throw ins.

Ah sure why don't we invent a game of our own.
What about not allowing handling of the ball? Add in novel things like corner kicks, shorten the field, 11 players each. Maybe even not allow an attacker to be inside the last line of defence as the ball is played forward. We could even used Penalty kicks for offences in the square and settle ALL games with them if level after extra time. We could call it ground ball or soccerball!! Something really good and snappy. We could create an association for football in Ireland and then go global with Football In Foreign Arenas!

The list is endless. Let's do this!!!

I think extra time should be 15 minutes each side .Extra time 10 Minutes is two short the ball is hardly ever in play . I much preferred the free/45 competition than penalty’s . All we have to do is clone 5 Rian O Neills and we are laughing .

No, I started it not because we lost on penalties, but because we had to participate in penalties.

Even if we had won on penalties, wouldn’t have made it right.

They have absolutely no place in GAA. It’s a disgrace that they took place.

I Voted Yes by the way :p
How have they no place in GAA? They are part of the game afterall

Penalties and next score wins are not part of the GAA DNA
It's not easy to resolve
